Hopefully to see a couple of Mosquitos flying in formation in the UK for a change.
Or failing that a Lancaster & Shackleton in the air together, maybe two Lancasters & a Shack if Just Jane gets in the air!

B-25 seen flying over Bury St Edmunds Friday morning. Was it inbound Duxford or on its way somewhere else? I know it’s due for a display somewhere on Sunday.

I saw them through bino’s, but thought it was a 108 accompanying the Beech. Apologies if I’m wrong, as you say we will know later for sure.

Best to get in contact with Romain Hugault via Facebook.
The company involved with his books & prints would be French publishers ‘Paquet éditions’ http://www.paquet.li/bd/75-contact

Thanks everyone for contributing to this thread and fuelling my knowledge of this lovely aircraft! It was thanks to mum who encouraged me away from the telly, you see I live next to Rougham airfield and we get light aircraft over the house all the time & there was me thinking ‘oh it’s nothing much’.
If I had got up quicker I might have been able to grab the camera!
It did have a distinctive sound indeed! Only wish it had made a stay over at Duxford as I could have had a look at it, but that’s being selfish.
I guess the nearest I have to a photo of one would be the land based version seen at a couple of shows last year..

Well I know nothing and the P166C is probably more than simply a non amphibious version!

Thanks Tim, looks a lovely aircraft. Glad I lept out of the house to see what it was, as it sounded unusual.
So I guess it’s likely to be the same aircraft then, did you track it at all?
I wonder if it did a straight flight all the way to italy or made another stop off in the UK?

    Haha!
Pouvez-vous imprimer certaines de ces t-shirts pour les prochaines années Legends Volants ?

I ended up with a very Gallic accent at the end of the show for some reason! He certainly does jabber on a little too much!
Talking of French people there was a lovely French lady in Romain Hugault’s tent smiling at everybody!

Some of the superb Spitfire action from XH558 day at Duxford.
Arrived at Duxford just in time to see TD314 landing after a short display in the morning.

Just five minutes of Vulcan action was all it took to draw one of the largest crowds I’ve seen at a non “event” day at Duxford.
A few minutes but worth the trip even though half the day was a wet one. Lots of Spitfire action as well, but here’s a few from my highlight of the day.

Will XH558 be doing just flypasts at each static Vulcan location or will she be completing a short display? At Duxford for example will she just be doing a straight flypast?

I heard but didn’t see a Merlin powered aircraft do a couple of low and fast flypasts over Bury St Edmunds Thursday 18th afternoon. Was it the Grace Spitfire as seen earlier in the thread captured on the day at Duxford?
On both occasions on hearing it thunder over the building I couldn’t get outside fast enough to see which aircraft it was. I was sure it sounded like a Spitfire as opposed to a Hurri or a Mustang, but wasn’t 100% certain.
Was it a memorial flight for some-one or an event that I had not seen in local news?

Keep up with the superb pictorial content and lets ignore all the negative comments on photo style shall we?

    All the best!
    Martin
