Pure guess work but could this be the Ae3G from Argentina.

It was an enjoyable programme. But an hour later David Jason showed us just what it is he does best. Albert’s Memorial was a stunner of a programme and one in which I will invest for those moments when I forget that life is for living, right to the end.

I have to disagree I thought Albert’s Memorial was very poorly written and constructed and disappointing, not deserving of David Jason’s acting talents such as playing Skullion in Porterhouse Blue.
I liked the BofB programme though.

I think French and it has the feel of Breguet or Nieport Delage hmm.

Dar, can I have 3 guesses
John
It is a Mariner. Some had provision for waist .50’s.

I see Mr Bean’s aeroplane (pic030) wasn’t quite ready. The two R/C “9’s” are rather nice.
John
It is the Lonek L-8 three seater registration OK-LON. From what I can find out the designer was also responsible for some of the Zlin sports planes. He was captured by the Russians and later released to form a resistance movement but was again captured (presumably by the Germans) and executed. This picture is from the Aeroplane 1935. I think the “other” engine ‘wilkofife’ has seen, is in fact one of the Zlin aircraft. I will have to rescan the Weis WM 13.

Over to Techno
Here’s a new one to amuse and confuse.

This type of aileron carried on into the WW1 with types such as the Short 184 seaplanes and IIRC the early FE.8 fighters had bungees to “assist” the ailerons to remain level.

Found a little better copy of the pix.

It’s a Bloch MB500, I knew I had seen this machine before.
John
I think you mean the Fairchild Hiller model 616 Aercab. janes 71-72 page 304.
