I used to look after LA255 at Wittering in the l970’s. The F.21 was aquired from Cardington and I believe had a spell at West Raynham before going to Wittering. A number of the “incorrect” items were swopped for items “borrowed” by Dick Melton for the BBMF at Coltishall. I personally delivered it’s main wheels to Colt for use on a Mk.19, in exchange for a pair off a Mk.5. It used to stand outside the Sqn hangar but was put away inside in the wintertime..
