The OSF is slaved to the radar[…]
At least, since it could also be cued by another Rafale’s Spectra track transmitted via datalink…
😀 Sure, you really wonder who’s the joke !
TMor, time-out 🙂
Ok, sorry. 😉
Dassault, on the other hand, have been tried and convicted of bribery and corruption
Which means that it is proven, that Dassault has paid the price, the Justice has done its job, and this is the past (though the belgian decision was considered not valid by the european court).
I would like Jacko to do his job as anyone else would. He’s quoted a lot of people, but didn’t give a single link to back up. Nothing.
Since he’s been proved wrong several times about Rafale especially, i think it would be just fine from him to comply with this rule.
Is there a trial, or even an investigation, every time someone dies? No: only if there is reason to suspect wrongdoing.
Yes, and some people here seems to have reasonS to suspect it.
They should have let the inquiry go on, since they were clean, unless you mistrust the Justice.
It would have been ok to have the tribunal saying “they are clean !”
Red somewhere that EF was the only aircraft in Singaporean contest that managed to take out 3 F16s and fly away, but later lost due the lack of A/G.
Obviously F15SG has been inaugurated politically, although it didn’t even passed the AA requirement.
So, i’m going to do it again… 😀
I know what you’re talking about, i’ve read this too. And now, believe me or not (i don’t really care), but a single Typhoon taking out 3 F-16 isn’t a very interesting scenario (why only one Typhoon ?), and then, according to my information, Rafale did something even better (i can’t give you details, that’s why i accept that you may not believe me).
I’m not saying Rafale has been better than Typhoon there, I think that IF Typhoon proved to be a superior air-to-air fighter in Singapore, it must have succeeded in something much more impressive (more realistic) than shooting down 3 F-16 in a 1 vs 3 scenario…
And IF Typhoon is the only one which managed to take out the 3 F-16, it doesn’t mean that Rafale didn’t something much better in a slightly different scenario (in which Typhoon may have done much better than Rafale, but i don’t know what Typhoon did there).
So, to conclude, the piece of information about 1 Typhoon vs 3 F-16 doesn’t depict truth. It’s an incomplete information and though i don’t know if it’s done on purpose or not, it makes people believe that Typhoon is superior to the 2 competitors while we don’t know all the story.
🙂
Has there actually been any evidence of a direct possibility of bribery in the Swiss competition or is it just about prior alleged dealings of companies involved?
There’s no evidence at all. Only “prior alleged dealings”. 😉
It’s not a Typhoon vs Rafale thread.
It’s a thread about suspicions in the swiss competition.
It’s not because we French have been called “Rafale fanboys” and because Rafale has been criticized that we must fall in this trap.
Grim : my list was voluntarily exaggeratively long so as to make people “lol”. But Dassault is in Greece, and France is trying something with Oman. Learn, before you criticize.
Since then, let’s be clear: France doesn’t make brides anymore.
Actually, we simply don’t know.
Tactics may have changed.
And since everybody here seems to believe the documentary is biased : no, it isn’t. Dassault is suspected to use another tactic : conflict of interest. Nothing illegal, but the Swiss do not seem to be ok with this.
The fact is that there is NO suspicion about Rafale and Dassault briberies nowadays.
But who knows, maybe our journalists will become much more aggressive when Brazil will order Rafale, when we’ll get the indian contract, UAE, Switzerland, Kuwait, Greece, Oman, etc. Maybe they’ll discover something strange after all… 😎
JWCook : do you think they are preparing a deployment to Afghanistan with those small GBUs ?
Ladies and gentleman, may i have your attention, please ? 😀
I’ve tried to contact a moderator to ensure that i’m allowed to do this but i got no answer, so i go on…
I’ve created a forum dedicated to Rafale. My intention is to provide a translation of my website ( http://tmor.rafale.free.fr ) and a place to do exactly the same as here, but without being limited to a single thread…
Instead, my forum (which is still experimental) provides “well organized” 😀 sections so as to help people finding the data they are looking for about Rafale.
The chosen language is english, and we French will translate (more or less automatically) any information available in French) so as to provide the best documents possible.
Arthuro, Nicolas10, Kovy, Glitter are among the quality members who are already contributors to this forum.
Feel free to register :

Thanks for you attention
What about the Gripen ? 😀
Those who create and run those simulations always win…
buggy SPECTRA : it’s just a rumor, every system comes with its share of bugs. SPECTRA isn’t a exception to the rule.
I heard (on the web, but where ?) it was mostly good to make his own winger blind ! […]for a change of array only : I was talking about extra feature given by an AESA array.
It’s like Damocles, it’s easier to put a LDP on a SEM than on a Rafale because it’s not the same level of integration : a cable and a screen Vs sensor fusion.
I agree. I’ve read the same rumor. I had just forgotten. And I think it’s was true, as part of the problems it had when it entered service… I don’t know how long it lasted but it needed additional calibrations.
