I think its 4500kg for the Rafale and 5000kg for the Eurofighter.
Since the Rafale is smaller (9200kg vs 11000kg) it has the better fuel fraction. I dont think however theres a noteworthy difference in range.

4500kg is the figure for Rafale B -two seater-

Sure, it’s a shame the EF is unable to carry the MICA, since it is a European weapon,

Mica is a French missile, for the Rafale (and later for the Mirage).
Rafale could bring american weapons, but there’s no interest in, since it has been developped with its weapons, with clear and coherent objectives in mind. πŸ˜‰

I don’t know for the exact number, but the press tells that 16 other Rafale are to be delivered for the 1/7, until July. As they won’t be built in 3 months, it could be a hint.

Not to **** on his grave, but does this one man really deserve all the credit for everything Dasault did? All he did was come up with the money to found the company, he didn’t actually design all the planes himself.

Of course, but he was a real expert, and he often shared his views about design with his engineers. He was not only “the one who gave the money”, and also really knew about all the “how to”s. 😎

This remembers me of the Mirage2k vs F-16/Tornados in 1999, with the introduction of Mica/RDY. Actually, the TWS is like a simple scanning mode to the oponents’ RWR. The RWR have no idea that they are being tracked, and just know that the aircraft is being scanned by another aircraft’s radar.

I don’t know if it has something to do with “constant power for all waveforms”…

According to the good old “DID’s F22 Air Dominance Fighter” (flight sim), on EMCOM1, the radar is OFF, EMCOM2 radar on and able to detect silently, but the EMCOM3 was needed to launch missiles (but also make you more detectable)…

    I hope it could help you… πŸ˜‰
