They got a good ground to air of Rockets as the Dak skirted around the edge of Bulikington last year :dev2: . the DC 3 overflew our display just off Shilton lane heading for finals back to Coventry .
tell the crew to do the same again this year please.

Sounds like the Sigma 50-500 HSM . DG is what will do what you are asking.

the 50mm end is not very wide but will still get a good cockpit shot from
20ft away if not more . i have used a 50-500 for a few years and it does a good allround job. and is around £550 brand new.

    Confused .

    Was it the Silence Twister?

No . was looking more spit than that , but i do see how it could be mistaken. this had camo on the underside what can only be described as the snow or artic camo look to it.

should have my camera at hand more often.
it was not very high 600ft .

Nice to see another Spit Graceing the skys again.

Question thou , yesterday as i got into my car . a aircraft that looked very much like a spit over fly my house very low , it looked like a spit but did not sound like one. the paint scheme was top half a white color and the underside like a snow camo color.

No i was sober and even my wife said ,was that a spitfire.?
is there a replica matching this description ? .very puzzled it came from Coventry way heading Liecester way.

For use on Aviation like airshows etc.
than go for the 100/400. going with the 28/300 the 28mm end is a bit long for some static shots and the 300mm end you may find a little short for flying shots.you will find a lot of aviation snappers useing Canon gear go for the 100/400.

CCTV is another cost issue and to be honest in reality we should not have to take such measures.
Regarding CCTV it does not really detour the hardened thief . 1 being he can still nab the article wear a hoody or hat and take the item . before you view the footage after the items gone the next day, never to be seen again . and if you do get a image of the culprits, the images do not stand up in a court of law. either way the item will be stolen never to be seen again and if the thief is caught they will get a slap on the wrist. its abloody sad state of affairs really.

SCUM is to good a word to call them.
Sadly its all to common today with such memorials etc being stolen.
mainly for there scrap metal value . sadly most are melted down or shipped abroad very fast and are lost for ever.

a few links of the runs she has done Friday can be found at the bottom of the update. Top stuff and brought a tear or 2 to my eyes to see her under her own steam once again.
