Only 1 really for me and that would have to be the

mach 1
:p
Many thank’s chaps.
was just curious as too who operated it.
just that its been sat outside Ansty hall for the past few days .
I have allways gone via the A5 every year and have pretty much drove straight in at 0930 every year . problems getting out never have had one i normally stay around and get out about 7pm . i understand most cannot do this and need to get home .
i guess i just plan my day a lot better than most and it is either very good luck or whatever that i very rarely have traffic as my main problem.
as been said before the road networks around most bases are small lanes. getting 60.000+ people in from 08.00 till 12.00 + and expect everyone to get out at the end at 17.30 is impossible . you must expect the wait or plan to wait around or go early.
this is for most airshows .
Go too the British grand prix with the new road network and expect to wait.
will be the same for any big event i do not understand how people can moan.
A piffling £2 entrance fee if you were a pedestrian!!
Happy weekends at the Air fetes.
we used to stop at old Bertie’s, Camp site back garden end of Beck row,
and yes it was great just walking on to base each morning for £2. stopped at the school field campsite a few times but the distance to base, ment useing the car .
Great set up at the Air fetes, recycling bins for drinks cans well thought out many a lesson could be learned from some of the set up at theses events.
to what we have today. with crowds of over half a million visitors over the weekend they must have been doing something right.
Would not say that any of the RAF airshows are that over priced.
Cosford Waddington Lechurs being the main ones ask for a average fee i feel. the Private run events tend to ask far more for some reason. why i guess they have their reasons.
But yes its Rip off Britain. Someone saying the British grand prix. well for the price of the Fridays practice day ticket you can buy a full weeks pass for all days at the spanish Grand prix and still have change.
cannot say the prices of European football matches pricing thou compared to
grounds prices in the UK.
as for some other attractions if i spent £25 to get my son in say RIAT just for a small plot of grass to sit at . for the same money i could take him to Alton towers and every ride once in the park is free. i do not get this after i have paid the same money for something like Riat i then have to spend the same amount again for every other attraction fair rides etc .
Same way i guess many like my self will not do a family run to Spirit of adventure. big gate prices and i guess every attraction i will have to cough up for after this making an expensive day out.
Its hard to compare i guess in some ways .
Sadly i doubt i will be at the event this weekend, will be the 2nd time i have missed one of the events at Brunti over the last 16 years.
under the kinfe this morning at 11.30 for a op to remove a lump on my left side . not looking forward to it:(
Certain all that go sunday will have a good day seeing these jets strut thier stuff.
I nearly brought one of those back in 1988, but settled for a RG125 Gamma instead!!
So you learnt from your mistake then Nigel.
Just about half way restoreing a 1985 Honda 125 super dream twin.
and also just completed makeing a full size WW1 biplane type of aircraft.
The dust issue is not really dust when the camera is new.
the problem is the shutter moveing parts bedding in and small swarf like
bit wearing off from the shutter. it does settle down after about 6000 shots. but you will need to clean it . the problem of dust and other bits like pollen will be the normal issue after this 1st stage of bedding in.
As for setting the ones above will be ok for start off.
but every photo shoot will be diffrent regarding light and exposer etc, best tip i can give is practice working on your exposer meter readings from the camera and take a mental note of the results.
I will not go on about the issue to much . my support goes to the team of a
Dr . a Rusty old lady and a few others who have when started this project very little about aviation and aircraft restoration.
to see many negative comments from many of the forums . many from so called flyers and restorer’s and being pros’s in there fields to be out done by a few ladies and amateurs will be a bitter pill to swallow i think. why if they are so good have they not got lottery support for their projects or have aircraft flying . simple they are not as clever as they make out. if they cannot get a tiger moth or mossie in the air . when some amateurs can set up something for such a type of aircraft as a Vulcan . they have my respect even if the project failed. maybe if they pull this off this group of people may go for some other project like a mossie or concord who could stop them really
they have out shone almost all the other pro aircraft restorer’s.
Not bad for a small group of nobodies to set up and make this project get to the state it is today.
i take my hat to them . they have been robbed in many ways but they have had the balls and grit to stick with it. they will get it to fly the rest is up to everyone else . they will do what they said and get the Vulcan in the air. after that they can walk away happy that they did what they set out to do,
the rest goes on the folk that want to see it flying all year at shows etc . you will have to pay for that .
do not see the mighty sea vixen haveing much support from the lot that wanted it painted grey and looking right. how good they are. lets let it rot in an hanger .
USAF planes are owned by US taxpayer and the airlines are owned by the shareholders
That will be the correct answer the USA tax payer.
as for single owned than the likes of Kermit weeks etc would be to name
but a few .
Seems the pics have caused some to be bitter.
Apologies for that.
having seen the lanc a few times over the last week out side the hangers.
and seen the nose art was covered. seeing it Weds day uncovered was a bit of a shock
and thought that they had changed there minds .
no one said nothing about use of the pics being taken.
that’s the reason why i posted them . and the other was for no glory or brownie points.
I had worked nights the previous night and went from work to the airport
for the air tests etc. the reason i posted was as stated i seen so many taking pics
and thought it was OK, to show fellow enthusiasts the images . not every one can be at Coventry or Coningsby .
they went up as i thought others would be posted also so i uploaded them before i went to bed to catch up on my sleep .
and then of to work again .
seems its for the veterans of 100sqn at CBY today Friday , if any are member’s of these forums and have
seen them and feel bitter . then sorry i do Apologies greatly.
i will not for media or press or V I P’s this aircraft belongs to everyone in the UK
Tax payers etc i could waffle on .
the images are only on sites for fellow aviation enthusiasts . in know way have any been loaded to data bases like A.net
for any financial gains or sent to any media , I’m sure this will happen with the press and others out for there own gains.
So i hope i have explained the reason’s a bit . and have not posted for glory or other gains .
Sorry to those who find them in bad taste . and also too any Veterans who surf the web and have seen them early.
Cheers Rich.
She looks splendid .just a few pics from the many taken today.
she should be departing for CBY in the next hour.

Do you get this fault with any other lens attached.
if not then your lens eyeriss blades are stuck.
thats the only thing i can think off but even that i dont think would cause this problem.
send it back if you are having problems is the best advice i can give.
