Why the need for drop tanks to be fitted and working if she’s going
be mothballed. or is there a 2nd option that requires long range flight.????

From the descriptions Ive seen of the Tucano’s for sale .
all have been heavily spares sourced by the RAF so lots of bits you will need to get one flying . could be an expensive project long term.

    Well ******!

Meteor and Vampire made it, Venom wouldn’t start and Canberra’s rudder trim failed. Such is the way with old aircraft I guess.

    Tom.

Was still a very nice sight to see today.
sun was lovely as the meat box and Vampire departed. shame about the
    Canberra and Venom thou .

The compact flash card’s on the market are vast . end of the day they all do the same thing .
i think they are not a lot in any of them regarding anything special. some will write the data a little bit faster only if your camera can take full use of the speed.
prices are massive in difference. many people will say one brand is better then the other but they all do the same thing end of the day.
7 Day shop, are probably the best place to buy from big range and cheapest prices matched by great service. 4 gig cards selling for £17 ain’t bad in my book.

allways amazed at what some people do in the gardenshed.
Ive seen some stunning working modle steam trains etc. but this
Spit surpasses anything iver seen before.

Does sound like the old Blue Lias pub.
sadly the aircraft have been gone a long time. i drive that route every day to Banbury from not to far from that area and we visit the pub a lot of the summer months . Was told that some guy had a harrier in is front garden around the area about 10 years or so ago. would have been around the church lawford area I’m told it was.??
Never did find it and from the description it sounded more like a hunter.

Not quite the same thing but, what would anyone recommend for stripping paint from magnesium alloy, that didn’t harm the integretiy of the metal in anyway?
Might be worth a new thread, but I will try this first as we are in Chemistry mode!
    Cheers, Alan.

    Brake fluid ?
you will find the Brake fluid reservoirs are made of cast alloys so I’m sure it will not harm ??

Coat the area in HP red sauce leave
for about a day then clean off, and spray with Plus Gas.
