Well i think we should remake it if thats what the rumours are all about.
if we dont then im sure the Hollywood hills will do it and no doubt shoot a lot of it over there way new zealand canada etc . giveing the local warbird collection some very needed cash .
So if we make it over here im sure it will be for the good of our preservation groups and warbird operaters getting a slice of the action . will also rekindle the joe publics awareness of what we have still in this country and it will boost things in lots of ther ways.

And dont get put off with polycarbonate camera bodys they are lighter and stronger than there pro mag metal ones. polycarb as a greater impact load its gives in otherwords takeing the shock , metal wont its to rigid and will crack and the shock loading is massive . polycarb is also used for bullet proof . and you will find fitted to most new cars headlights no there not glass anymore but polycarb .

canon usm image stabilised 300mm lens , now thats some serious moneys worth there about £3000 worth for a f2.8 . or £1000 for the f4 .
where as your sigma 135-400 is about £400 on the high street.
you will be limited with a fixed 300mm lens so it will depend on what you are going to be takeing pics of and from what range etc , this will be your best bet when trying to pic a lens .if your thinking of doing airshow type pictures then your best bet would be go for a zoom lens like the canon 100-400 or the sigma 50-500 .mm lens

Sure the RAF used this base in the early 90’s . We used to drive past from 91 -95 when on our way down the coast of swanage and poole.
from coventry. And on a most times passing sat for an hour or so seeing c130’s dropping pallets from the back and chute deployed drops on to the field,

Correct. There was talk of the organisers asking the BBMF to do it but I guess they were either too busy or the single engine issue raised it head again. Either way, I’m sure 3 Daks was just as impressive 😉

    Tom.

Yep the 3 daks went down a storm with the old vets . many im sure flew in them . knowing that there was a strong para airbourne brigade there as there meeting place is in our village of bulkington the white lion pub . a lot of the vets met up there and if your in the area the back room of the pub is a tribute to the paras and walls are full of very nice old pics and daks all over .

    Beers a bit pricey thou.

Bit of a minefield really theres that many on the market and depends on your budget but if moneys tight then my 2nd option may appeal.
digital cams are very good price may be a issue and is your PC up to doing home movies and burning to dvds etc and also memory cards etc all ahve to taken in to account.
myself still use a oldish canon 8mm tape one you can buy hi8 cams cheaply now days and the tapes are also cheap to buy .
now you have saved a few hundred £S going for the 8mm route . go to asda and buy one of there DVD recorders for £68 they have them at this will let you plug your 8mm in to and copy from your cam on to A dvd disc. you can edit your movie with the inbuilt edit in the cam they are very good really . you have your movie on 8mm tape and dvd then store the 8mm tape for back up and use the dvd disc .
other bonus with the dvd recorder is as it is under your video player under your tv set up you can copy films off tv to dvd and also plug your video player in to it and copy your old vhs films to dvd . thats my suggestion .

What are the restictions on light single engined aircraft flying in built up areas , Seem’s unfair for this location its not that built up being on the edge and open countryside along the flightpath.

I live in the village next to Bedworth and seen most of the flypasts over the last 10- years or so from the 3 TTTE Tornados .
The late Mark hanna in the 109 with a the spit that was one that sticks with me as the pair held over my house for about 10 minutes .
as for the spit and built up areas the park they fly over is on the hedge of a old mineing area now a country park and past that open fields so not built up area at all . the dc3 comes in from cov across the open fields as normal cannot see any problems with . it to be honest.shame really i get a great view of it all . think things are going to pc really will be no flypast or anything soon .
