Acetone is very cheap and easy be found in many high street stores.
used mainly by woman to remove nail polish , cheap also.
so a 50 -50 mix with some transmission fluid is a good cheap and easy soloution to make up.

Will have to give it a mix, i have a bottle of Acetone in the garage and some transmission fluid.

Nice find cheers for posting the info.

Pretty well all 5th gen stealth Aircraft will soon be useless,
with there big weakpoint of noise being there downfall.

acoustic detectors are used today on the battle fields to detect sniper fire and other battle noise, the systems can detect a sniper fire round from a distance even tell you what type of weapon used.

locate the area it was fired from the noise and shockwave.

as current stealth are very loud they will be easy pickings when theses acoustic systems if not allready are perfected to counter Aircraft.
as each type as its own sound pattern picking up a F22 over a F16 will be easy.

Sonar noise sensor heads on weapons have been used for years, .
same will be made for Acoustic air to air or ground to air systems.

and will be hard to defeat once its locked onto the noise pattern.
chaff and flares will be useless.

[QUOTE=XF828;1455074]Because I was there and the aircraft had passed way off to the left before the pyros went off. Note two people holding up cameras at bottom of frame – following the aircraft, which in reality was far out of shot to the left.

Link here to another well known snapper’s images,
taken further to the right then myself. and the aircraft is not way off to the left as you are saying, or are they fake also.

No problems myself paying a fee to park .

just have to be careful the carparks are not contracted out to some parking scheme that will install pay and display machine and staff to maintain the said machines and police the carparks .

this will not benefit the museum fully .

What also happens if the goverment stops the funding for the museum a few years down the line.

the museum will have to charge you entrance money then, plus carparking on top, as i would guess they will be a contract with the parking scheme for a set amount of years say 10 years.

Would it not be better just to charge you say £1 for entrance to the collection.

Or have they sold the carpark rights to some third party for a small cut of profits.this route if taken does not benefit the museum collection.
it just lines the pockets of someone else.

No BBMF Lanc at Duxford this weekends airshow.
and a few other events been missed also.

Having another Lanc could be a bonus when one goes Tech.
if you want to see one taxi, badger Duxford to get theres in a state to taxi .

Just jane flying will not harm what she does at present she can still do taxi runs
like she does at the moment.

Good luck to the Pantons and hope they pull it off.

As Cees said… why? The UK already has an airworthy Lancaster which can be seen at most large airshows and all manner of other places at the vast majority of weekends, Just Jane is perfect doing what she already does.

Of course, if the owners decide to fly it, then that’s up to them, but it’s hardly as if the UK has a massive gap in the Lancaster market already

Must have to many Spitfires also then.
Lets just have 1 spit and 1 Hurri or P51.etc.

Been reading about this in our local paper over the last week.
to be honest i feel it could be the end of the airfield once its sold to the highest bidder.
