Do you know if the navy gone get the rest off the ships from the Visby class or are they cancelled? They where supposed to get six new stealth ship and two are delivered HMS Visby and HMS Härnösand but what about HMS Helsingborg ,HMS Nyköping,HMS Karlstad and HMS Uddevalla?

Yes I know that mate but HMS Härnösand where supposed to have the 40mm instead for the 57mm in the beggining because we have ten time more 40mm ammo then 57mm ammo in army store and we have more verity off ammo to the 40mm ..and the 40mm shot 330 rounds per minute the 57mm shots 220 rounds per minute. But off course the 57mm have a longer firing range (17km??) and i am not saying that the 57mm is a bad gun 🙂 its a great gun

Men det är bara mina 50 öre 😉

    Beautiful… 🙂

I really like this class. Once you get SAMs installed and helicopters to deploy they will really be somthing.

Yes it needs a helicopter. Navy news says that it gone be modified next year.
but i am surprised to see that the 40mm Bofors gun is replaced with a 57mm Bofors

Some more picture off the Visby class corvette and it’s a real beauty 😎

    spelling error

Ah the Draken – one of my favourite jet fighters. I’ve always thought it was a pity that the British didn’t go into co-production with SAAB to make the Draken as the RAF’s Hunter replacement; after all, it used a British engine and British guns. I think it would have easily beaten the Mirage in the export market. However, it would have been politically virtually impossible at the time (sigh).

Yes draken is a nice airplane 🙂 and underestimate outside Scandinavia… I don’t know where the gun is made but it is a 30 mm Aden M/55. but Adan sounds English
I have heard that the British helped Sweden with A36 the missing child between J35 Draken and 37 Viggen (but it can be rumours). It where Swedens nuclear bomber and it looks like a big Draken using straight delta wing with 62 degrees sweepback I think the project where cancelled 1966 when Sweden decided that we where not going to get nuclear weapons.

Yes the J22 reminds allot off the Focke-Wulf 190 🙂 . But its a quite impressive that we could built that. we hade no light-alloy and no good engine . We hade some Pratt and Whitney Twin Wasp that Sweden hade bought from the Germans witch made the plane damn under-powered but we hade no choice
so thank god that we never hade to put it against a Focke-Wulf 190 :p

J22 is a real beauty 😮 but i guess the FFVS J22 is not the most well known aircraft of the WWII fighters. But it is quite impressing little aircraft 😎
