Sorry to read this buddy, i know the feeling all too well, i had to put my dog to sleep 2 years ago due to an abundance of tumours, which started as 1 and turned into about 50, he wasnt an old pooch either, i had to hold him as we put him to sleep as he was still full of energy yet suffering, not eating etc, i cried like a baby and didnt want to let go of him at all, and im not one for crying in front of the opposite organs, my mum couldnt bare to be without a dog so we ended up getting a chocolate lab the same week, we called him aero, however satan is a more apt name ( a brand new cooker, kitchen floor, Carpet and walls of the cement variety as evidence for this )
losing pets really does hurt 🙁
thoughts are with you and the family

Isn’t it Turkish barbers who have a somewhat fiendish way of dealing with hairy ears?, the procedure (so I’ve been informed) is take two small clumps of cotton wool, dip into methylated spirit or similar, set fire to said cotton wool, then slap the damn things into both ears together, I am reliably informed that this does not result in internal combustion or heart attack and certainly clears hairy ears.
i can confirm this to be true, had it done last Friday 🙂 along with a hot towel shave, which almost knocked me out with the amount of aftershave used

i once tried to get my first passport for a job out in afghan, filled the paperwork in, got the photos signed, referenced etc, even paid for the 1 or 3 day rush service (as the job was due to go live) got to the passport office to be told oh no, as its your first we need to know a lot of stuff about you so you need an interview..oh and your photos arent good enough, something petty like they were too much of an angle ( done at the post office on the passport photo service) all of this meant i missed the job, and they werent taking anyone else on, it was £2000 a month tax free working with the US forces handing mechanics the tools they asked for 🙁
its easier to get into the country than it is out :/

We could do with a few more younger volunteers though to assist with this work though.
