wow, thanks for that, takes me back to 2005 when i did a weeks summer camp at Halton, the JP was part of the night exercise, aswell as the other JP which is in some bushes further round the base, next to a bridge and stream actually

we were moving in staggered formation accross the airfield and got to the bridge into cover, as pointman i was tasked to go over the bridge first…so i sets off, slowly walking/crouching, onto the bridge, i get half way and CRACK CRACK CRACK CRACK! the whole forrest seamed to open up with GPMG fire ( i bloody Sh1t myself to say the least) running back to find cover i dives into the side of the bridge and almost break my shoulder( im not the smallest of people either)

ahh i miss those days now that im staff

    thanks for the reminder baz

Working in a supermarket (Waitrose) I find this habit people have extremely irratating. I find at least 5+ items a day and this includes many that are supposed to be chilled but have been ‘dumped’ in the freezer when they’ve found a cheaper alternative. The most interesting recently being a tub of custard in their the other day, more so annoying when the freezer is just a few steps from where they originally removed it.

Obviously this means the product usually has to be thrown out, the irony is these people probably act like they really care about food waste etc but in the end the company has to pay for it as it cannot be sold.

I’ve yet to catch anyone in the act yet, maybe calling them a lazy f**cker will make them think about it more…:diablo:

i also work in a supermarket (asda) and i spent over an hour yesterday returning stock to its correct location, i think the one that got me the most was when i found a bundle of socks…in the fridge, i mean seriously? i work on the chilled section and its unbelievable how many times i have to take things back, sometimes i find frozen stuff on the grocery shelves, common sense seems to have taken a back foot with some of the clowns who visit my store
or when im facing up, i get them raking through the stock to find a “better date” and im left thinking WTF, you can see im tidying that

what made me swear today was, 6 days after it was due, my wages still havnt been put in my bank, ive got no presents for anyone, so im not feeling too seasonal

    Scott,

Back to a more serious point โ€“ are you guys on โ€˜snow patrolโ€™ again, the forecast looks a bit grim for the next few days?

yeah we are mate,. although we have created a support system for the back end, as well as propping onto the jacking points, i cant see her moving at all now, but nevertheless, were keeping an eye out, just a shame our NEAM webcams are out of action at the moment

we dont have too much white stuff at the moment though

    Scotty
