Bravo, we have taken your advice on board and are going to use it as constructive criticism which can only help us improve our work
Pics from this past weekends fathers day event will hopefully be uploaded soon, unfortunatly i didnt take any so il have to see if any of the other members did, the whirlwind looked good with storm troopers on the side door though 😀
I like Meteors and made a long trip to NEAM today to see this one.
I really hope that this is not the finished product!
It looks pretty awful in the colours that have been used. I have never seen any Meteor operated in this scheme. Only the underside of the aircraft seemed close to the original scheme.
Haven’t the good people at Neam ever heard of masking tape?
I was told by a passing volunteer that they were trying to restore it to the colour scheme used when Ray Hanna flew the aircraft with the Evergreens. Well sorry guys, but this is nothing like it.
However, there’s hope yet. The volunteer also said that they were expecting to put on another coat of paint. Please, please, please, use the right shades – yours look silly.
Bravo, thanks for your erm…”constructive” comments, did you happen to ask how much time we have spent so far on just getting the first coats of paint on? the reason it looks like it does to you is because it isnt finished yet :S
its currently in the early stages of the 1944 colour scheme as we are trying to see how it would look, i will pass on your comments to the rest of the team but if you would like to assist us in making it better and into something you would be happy with then by all means come along and help
oooh…what a nice find……they look fairly similar to an F16 dont you think?
You don’t know how close I was to putting that at the end of my post to Scott! 🙂
ya no i can always rely on you lot to post something witty that brings me out of a downward spiral lol
