I know Delta are retiring their fleet of md11’s. I travelled on N803DE from MAN-ATL and I think that is now flying with World Airways.

STA travel are good, and u dont have to be a student or under 26 for some of their fares. I’m off to Athens next week on BA (sta student ticket) for £84 rtn!

I flew on the Md11 in August 2002 from MAN-ATL-MAN. They were great aircraft, more roomy than the 764 I flew on from ATL-LAX. Does anybody know whats replacing them on the MAN-ATL route?

I know which airline I prefer though, easyJet. Although easyJet is more expensive LPL-GVA-LPL was excellent unlike my flights on their cheaper rival. I flew LPL-DUB-LPL and one of my bags got broken into, Ryanair’s not bothered attitude is rather worrying, especially when theft of passengers belongings is taking place whilst bags are in their care. Good customer service costs nothing!

Theairbus seats 150, which is one seat more than the 737-300/700 models. This was one of the reasons why airbus won the bid.

Just to clarify, KLM UK has now merged with KLM Cityhopper and is trading under the name KLM Cityhopper. All Fokker 50 aircraft have been transferred to the dutch register.

Almost forgot, welcome on board! 😮

    Thanks,

I flew out on A6 073 on the 2nd Aug and rtn on A6 074 on the 12th (both legs on OE-LKB). Really good flights, booked on KLM codeshare, flew from MAN with a v.short connection in AMS. One thing I thought was rather strange in the Do328 was the fact that the front seats had 3point diagonal seat belts fitted. If i have time I will try to compile a trip report.

Hi this is my 1st post!

Ive just flown on an Air Alps Aviation Do328 AMS-SZG-AMS and it did not have that on the side, it was a really comfortable flight, and very smooth for a prop!

    Cheers
