My thanks go to Joe for the outstanding piece of work he has accomplished. If it was n’t for this original posting I would never have discovered the site.

Today I discovered the serial number for a Wellington lost in 1940. One of the crew was a relative serving as a W/Op Gunner with 99 Squadron. The database also detailed more on its crash than I had discovered.

Great piece of work and I hope it remains out there for a good number of years to come!

As I said I am no expert on the ‘paperwork’ side. Permit, registration, authority to fly, display whatever…………..I was referring to whatever permission is required for it to be registered and flying & displaying here in the UK.

As a previous member has pointed out I am sure the relevant engineers and company have it all worked out. It may be here for assembly and checks then off to the US on the next ship.

All this is speculation to which we can only guess. I will and I am sure many others will take this opportunity to sit back and enjoy it in its prsent status! Well at least for the next several weeks.

    Merry Xmas. 😉

As I said it was ‘rumour’; perhaps you or other members can enlighten us all on the CAA rules, applications & guidelines!
