Kurmitz – Although you are not too far away, that means you must still leave your place about 2.00AM to get there. I had no idea it was that bad. I might just buy and tent on the Friday morning and see if Reevey campsite have any places left for the weekend.

Ive never been to any of the campsites but I know a man who has, and it gets full up very quickly.
I do leave at 2am-ish and get an hour or so’s sleep when I get there.

When I went to the RAIT Cottesmore airshow, I would leave home the night before.
What stupid things we do for aircraft!

Every year I always get to the site between 3 and 4am, and people are already standing at the front of queue ahead of me. I get to park 50 yards from the gate so when I leave I dont have to go hunting for my car.
A large flask soup and a collaspable chair and Im happy to wait. At 7am the queues for the car parks are miles long and you have to park 3 – 4 fields away, even at that time.
Its a small inconvienience but I get to the fence first, set up my chairs and go walking / photos.
By the time the flying has started Im sat down after doing all the photos and buying bits.
This year its different as Ive forked out for the Waitrose area

Reminds me of a lorry driver who works for Crown Paints working from Swindon. Going back a few years this is, he had lost control of his 10.5 ton lorry on the M4 between Junc 16 and 15, bounced a couple times off the central reservation and tipped on its side, paint went everywhere.
Almost to the day but a year later ( only 3 days away ) the same driver, different lorry, same stretch of M4 ( less than a 100 yards ) and the same outcome.
From what I remember he kept his job, but was tongue in cheek told not to drive between Junc 16 and 15 again

How often does this loading / refueling very badly go on? Over past 12 months Im aware of atleast 3 possibly 4 other tail heavy accidents
