I am well aware that the Brit Govt sent troops to both gulf wars…. my cousin was one of them sent in ’91, he didnt come back walking, he came back with the union jack draped over his coffin.

Not once have I even suggested that the yank govt supported the IRA, but back in the 80’s it was well documented that the money was being raised in the yankie-land. Even big yank companies were donating monies to terrorist organisations, macdonalds being one of the main benifactors to the IRA, and Coke-Cola reported to helping the Israelies, and am I right in thinking that Marlboro supported the Klu Klux Klan?

It seems Im going off on a different tangent. This thread and arguement can carry on for months, basically I dont like yanks, the brit govt, and the IRA. Hell I think I have spoken about 80% of the UK population.

In what way does that sentance state that I think the yank govt supported the IRA…. I said the same nation….. It is fact that after Libya the IRA got most of its weapons from the US. Didnt I also say that the FBI (part of US Govt, if im not mistaken) had set up a unit to stop the US based IRA?

this post had started about the I-ties being loyal and trustworthy yank allies. Im just stating that not all brits like you yanks… and I for one dont want to be a loyal and trustworthy allie! Dont worry, Im not being biassed on this subject I hate our govt. nearly as much as I do yours.

Back in the 80’s and early 90’s every St Patricks day we saw pictures of all the parades in yankie-land. We also saw Gerry Adams the president of SinnFein/IRA and Martin McGuinness join the parades and carrying banners supporting the cause. I will also mention that I think that after this event the FBI had actually set up a special unit to try and catch the main arms suppler. I may be wrong and please inform if I am, but I think the guy was called George Harrison… I only know this as his name is thwe same as the ex-Beatle.

After WW2 the Yanks took all the German scientists back to the states so that they wouldnt fall into Russian hands, and also gave them sanctuary against any comeback from the Brits if they developed the missiles. Even the H and A bombs were designed by the Germans.
Lets look at the big picture…. what have the yanks actually done for themselves?

I Hate the yanks, and im not going to hide the fact.. Im all for war if its neccessary and to some extent the 2nd gulf war was… but the yanks are so far up there own arse’s its unreal. The hunt for Bin laden was due to him standing up to his own beliefs. Please dont get me wrong, it was a tragidy what happened, and according to the yanks the whole world should stand up and fight against terrorism?
Is this the same nation that once supported the IRA and there acts against all those innocent victims, British army and the mainland? What about the IRA mortar attacks at Heathrow which could of been far far worse?
I dont have many claim to fames… but many years ago my uncle was killed by the IRA when he served in Belfast, and by some strange twist of fate, one of my cousins was killed in the first gulf war….. not by the Iraqies, but by a Lt Colonel flying a A10!
