Last one,
On top of decent coming into LHR, you may be able to see the gold colour on the inside of the winglet.

Mine has to be Sushi, and lots of it.
I went to Bahrain the other week and had a proper Japanese experience.
12 portions of different raw fish, fish eggs, god knows what else.
I liked most of it, but it got too much

Back in April I went on our Rugby tour to Estonia, and on our return to LGW we were put into a holding pattern.
After some huge amounts of turbulance and some hefty drops in altitude the pilot kept adding the speed and slamed the Estoniair 737 into and almost burried the a/c into the runway.
I give the Capt all the credit he deserves, and he earnt his wages that day
I would say Gulf Air as my misses is sat behind me. But the other week when I returned from Bahrain I was sat in the cheap seats and the crew couldnt be bothered. It was a night flight and as I was sat right at the back, all I could hear was there laughing. And there attitude wasnt any better, particulary from the Bahrainy male crew. The flight out there was excelent as my misses was the in-flight chef and I had her meal, all the drinks I could handle and a ‘taste of first class’, also I will mention the Capt was very friendly and I owe him a bear or two.
All the other times Ive flown with Gulf-Air, the crews and in-flight service in the cheap seats have been very good.
The worst inflight service was last year on MyTravel flying from Bristol to Tennerife
I should be able to make LHR on 2nd or 3rd August, possibly late september but I cant think that far ahead. Thinking about tomorrow is a hard enough job for me 🙂
I think these facts speak for themselves.
A380……… Wing span 261ft, Length 239ft, Height 79ft
An124……. Wing span 240ft, Lenght 228ft, Height 73ft
B747……… Wing span 213ft, Length 231ft, Height 63ft
Max take off weight…
A380….. 1,235,000lb (560,000Kg)
An124… 892,857lb (405,000Kg)
B747….. 870,000lb (394,625Kg)
The delivery of a 135.2-tonne stator for a Siemens electric generator carried by an An124 was entered in the Guinness Book of Records as the heaviest single cargo item ever carried by air.
So the cargo variant of an A380 should beat it?
Overall the A380 will be a huge beast.
