    I live a stones throw from Kemble and I didnt really see any advertising for this event. Except for one sign just off the M4, like Paulc has mentioned. Even this sign was a yellow AA board which didnt give any details and didnt give me any encouragement to go.
    I am not a ‘grubby spotter’ and i dont note any numbers, letters, colours or other vital statistics. But surely any event which requires the general public should research the advertising better.

    Why do people criticise the teams and drivers? They were told by Michelin it wasnt safe, and they didnt….. which to me is a bloody good thing.
    Good ol’Bernie couldnt run the risk of cancelling the race as that would of been even more of a disaster than running just 6 cars. In my opinion this was the only and proper way of solving the problem.
    there would of been even more of an uproar had a driver been killed. the teams would of been taken to the cleaners….. you critics seem to forget that when the steering arm broke on Sennas car, Frank Williams was taken to court for his death.
    Who would of been held responsible for anybodies death on Sunday?

    And the reason none of them can communicate with the Yanks is that, to them, a simple phrase like, “Secure the building” involves dropping 500 pound ordnance on it from a B52 at 50,000 feet and then shelling it for 3 days with 155mm artillery and then ripping it apart with 7.62 small-arms and then getting a battalion of grunts to bivvy on the site.

    And after all this, they will actually find out who was in the building….friend or foe?

    its the same people who also tried to ban the 4wd course and from what I can remember actually stopped a rally track being applied for.

    It seems to me that all of a sudden there is a growing divide of ‘them and us’. Its going to get worse too as several members are intent on provoking other people and getting on the nerves of the mods. Then they are the first to complian about a deleted thread or even a warning.
    Im not brown nosing, but ive seen it happen on other sites and eventually the sites close.
    If you dont like it then why are you still here?
