Yep, well I think I did anyway!
Im taking the pc back to the shop today as I was chatting to BTYahoo again last night for another 50mins and they told me to redo all the checks and still nothing. Its got to be the pc. I cant turn the damn thing off now unless I switch off the power, as it does nothing when I go into start – turn off computer – turn off

Try taking the Bt/Yahoo broadband software off the pc and then re load it back on again

Done it…no luck

Go to ‘control panel’ – ‘system’ – ‘hardware’ – ‘device manager’ and you will see modems icon. Left click on that and the modem will drop down, right click on the modem and a drop down menu will appear where you can disable it.

I have copied and pasted from my works PC so i can take your instructions home to try

Im using XP and on BT Yahoo b/band. Ive checked all files and its seems all is ok, although on one of the checks it says no dial tone is found, but for b/band it doesnt need a tone.

Whilst I was at school my Parents used to let me drive their cars around our yard (it wernt big but enough to park a few cars) and I could also park the cars in the garage.
When I was left at home at night I used to drive mums car around the block to goto the shops.
I had my first lesson on Oct 4th ’90, then had a 2 hour lesson the following weeks and passed my test on the 2nd Nov ’90
