The current tiny air force is reliant on contractors from other countries, including Pakistani pilots. Just buying 100 aeroplanes from miscellaneous sources will not create a meaningful air force, there are other elements to think of too.
Currently it looks like protection money to US, France and UK, however I suspect Turks might come to the rescue to help Qatar air force, given the current situation in mid east.
The logo on the tail looks like the UAE emblem.

Wow a second accident?
from the article
14000 flight hours in 10 years. That’s 1400 flight hours per year. For 14 Gripens, gives an average of 100 flight hours per year for each Gripen.
Compared to the PAF’s JF-17 fleet which reached 19,000 flight hours with 65 active service JF-17s in April 2016
Seems like the JF-17’s availability is nowhere near that of the Gripen.
Hungary doesnt have any other choice. PAF can afford to use different platforms as needed.
Without info on availability rates its mere speculation.
Pakistan attains ‘second strike capability’ with test-fire of submarine-launched cruise missile
Not another 5 years of pointless arguments and tantrums.
Kill me now. Please …….
Can someone highlight the main differences between V1 and V2?
India’s First Sub Sonic Missile Nirbhay Fails in Test Flight
Despite the claims that Brahmos is far superior to the likes of Tomahwak/Babur as they will be shot down easily by India, why is Nirbhay proving to be soo difficult? I would have thought it would be an easier job.
Also with range of Brahmos being extended to 6-700 kms and SU30s being modified to carry it, why spend resources on inferior Nirbhay?

Should ship launched missiles not be at a slight angle for safety? We have all seen videos of Russian S-300s fail during launch.
Best and worst: preparing navies for all possible worlds Jane’s Navy International
Nor should the increasing tensions between nuclear-armed India and Pakistan, marked by continuing artillery exchanges on their northern border, be ignored. Their relations will continue to shape their naval development. Although both of their navies do many other things, the building of a warfighting capability that will deter the other side remains their top priority in both operational and acquisition terms. The realisation of how vulnerable its navy ships were to Pakistan’s Harpoon missiles during the 1999 Kargil conflict led the Indian Navy to invest heavily in a research programme with Israel that produced the 70 km-range Barak-8 anti-missile missile. Likewise, the news that Pakistan is to acquire eight submarines from China, alongside the appearance of Chinese nuclear-powered attack submarines (SSNs) in the Indian Ocean, has seen India galvanise its submarine acquisition programme.
Depends on what is in those numbers… if that is a carrier heavy force, then good luck with MPAs and fast jets.
Didn’t Falkland war show limitations of 1-2 carriers against a small but dedicated force. Argentinian fighter were operating at the limit of their range without any MPS or AWACs.
Just imagine what could have been the outcome if Argentinians had those assets along with precision weaponry/ and loads of Anti ship missiles.
The most overhyped (at least on these forums) have to be the following

Pakistan on Wednesday successfully tested an improved version of the Babur cruise missile
https://www.dawn.com/news/1302422/improved-version-of-babur-cruise-missile-tested-successfully
“700km Babur cruise missile is a low-flying, terrain-hugging missile, which can hit targets both at land and sea with pinpoint accuracy”
“has a reported payload capacity of 300kg”
“Equipped with the Terrain Contour Matching (TERCOM) and Digital Scene Matching and Area Co-relation (DSMAC) technologies, it can carry both nuclear and conventional warheads”

“had been flying smoothly at 13,375 feet when its left engine malfunctioned, exploded and damaged a wing“
“It gradually lost 2,000 feet, entered free fall and lost another 1,800 feet in a millisecond”
