Sorry Rob… I was writing as you posted yours on the tail cone.

P.S Basically Kev yeh!
Bhoy… yes I think it could well be a shadow on the underside… at that distance it would be virtually impossible to distinguish between light grey and white.
Its definately not Olympic… the end-most tail cone section is white on the glasgow shot… Olympic’s are dark blue.

I flew flight deck on the F100’s smaller brother the F70 to Dusseldorf. Very nice a/c. Though the flight deck wasnt really designed for 3 of us!
I dont recall excess noise at the rear of the F70. Just the standard, expected whine.

surely the G-force is dependant on your weight/mass… the force due to gravity, so the space you take up shouldn’t matter, your mass remains constant? maybe not…

JMC out of Kos into MAN a couple of years ago. The flight itself was fine… once it finally left…. roughly 24 hours later! It made headline national news as all the greek islands jammed up one saturday night due to fog. Flights going to places such as Kos and Rhodes could not land, a/c already there could not depart, planes were diverting to Crete mainly but Crete quickly filled up so a/c were backing up to Athens and beyond. it took days to return shedules to some form of normality. what a mess it was!
Around May 2001 I believe.
Cheers

Ahh, now where have I seen that scenario before…
cheers

Ahh yes mmitch but the 119.4 approach is, i believe, no longer in use because it was interfering with another station on the same frequency. Its a fairly recent change.
Thanks for your help.

Hi Ren,
You mentioned about PIA.
I remember them looking into flying into Leeds Bradford a couple of years ago however they eventually decided to just concentrate their new route on BHX (this on top of the existing MAN and LHR ofcourse.) Are they looking at Glasgow as a posibility now?

STOP STOP!

Actually… it may be contested that that edrenolin rush could be beaten by other activities…
That, strangely enough, may not occur to ‘non-planey’ people EGNM. Love the shot… Like Preston I love a bit of action. (nothing else meant by that whatsoever!) You cant beat the endrenolin (however its spelt!) rush of shooting down the taxiway in speeding, flashing fire engine to deal with an aircraft emergency! Ofcourse, as long as nobody gets hurt!

yes Kab… but the newer people need to express themselves…
Like: BA Chattam Dock, + several world images, JMC, Airtours, Qantas, Thomas Cook, new BMI, Jet2, Air Jamaica, BWIA, old old Air 2000 (gold and red), Aer Lingus, Thai (love the clours), SIA, CX, new Vigin… many more…
Unsure: My Travel, Britannia old + new, current + new Air 2000, United.
Dislike: CSA (hate hate hate it!) Air France, SAS, Lufthansa, AA, Easy Jet, Swiss, Swissair, All the chinese ones!
well… not much then…
I think a good livery is very important promotionally amognst other things.

I doubt it will be a very nice impact if they lose.

I would love to see Concorde go to Virgin. I so badly want to see her continue flying commercial routes. However I don’t think it will happen either. £1M is too low…especially considoring offers made by museums around the globe and the initial value of Concorde plus however much its increased by with age (I spose its a ‘classic airliner’ now!)
I love Branson’s style but, as you’ve said BA are too concerned with the effect on them of selling to Virgin. Quite rightly so aswell… I’d love to see Concorde continue flying commercially but not as much as I’d want BA to continue healthily as our national flag carrier. (bringing fares down a bit would be great Mr BA!)
I hope part of the ‘bowing out’ tribute flights include one final pleasure day at LBA… I’d do (almost) anything to fly Concorde.
