What causes the fog on the Air Nambia and Qantas pics?

Great pics by the way. You’ve posted the Pan-am before Kab.

The blue or GREEN tail area could suggest a JMC A330? Did it have winglets? I spose it may have been difficult, at 15 miles out it would probably have been at about 3500-4000ft or more.

    RE: New Look For BE

Yeh the new C/s is Ok…nothin special to be honest, the old one was good. They still have British European on the fueselage so the name change is a bit pointless…i spose its just an add for the web site.

I didn’t see BE as a low cost airline. that wasn’t the image put across to me but, the new c/s and special deals suggest otherwise.

They get an ‘OK’ from me.

    Yeh Cheers Saab!

I’d sure love to get down to the ‘roll-out’, That would be an experience…possibly as good, if not better than the B747 role-out.

    RE: Charters pulling out….

As for the haulting of a BY base next year at LBA. I don’t think so. It is only recently that BY and LBA celebrated 25years working together (25 years is it Preston?) and upgraded from a based B738 (G-BYNC) last season to a B752 this season.

    Hopefully just a rumour!

    RE: Concorde in trouble again!

Yes I agree. Sonic cruisers aswell as giant flying people carriers are the future…Why would so much money, time and effort from various companies and organisations be being put into such projects? There are so many people that would prefer to get to their destination faster….and those who can afford it have been lavishing in it for 30 years now with Concorde.

JMC removed their only ‘JMC aircraft’ route (LBA-Alicante) into LBA this season but, still operate through other airlines.

If you look at a post of mine from the other day entitled ‘British European Killed-off at NCL’, there is some info on the same thing but, obviously with BE not AMM.

That would be a real shame. Boeing better hurry then and get their SST going! Lets hope however that we dont see Concorde gracing Museums worldwide for a few years yet.

RE: Why isn’t Teesside bigger than it is?

You say the Teeside is inbetween NM and NT and then say it is a prime location for new routes……why? Because its inbetween the two doesnt make it a prime loocation..NM and NT swallow all the traffic up and Teeside simply operates in the shadow of its bigger brothers. Like I said in the other thread…if the demand was there…Airlines would operate…and vice versa. I see Teeside as another Sheffield..its just Sheffield started too late. It would be nice to see Teeside expand but, I can’t see it happening with the majors. Possibly Eastern though, as EGNM pointed out.

    RE: Hello and First Question

Being in the middle of EGNT and EGNM I’d have thought competition would have been quite hard for anybody trying to get somthing going at Teeside. Its all about demand and if theres none of that then there is no point in starting an operation there (like Sheffield). Airlines will not be flocking to Teeside for a reason.

Yeh but, if they’re 1.5 hours into a 3hourish Supersonic flight with virtually the same period of subsonic flight at each end surely it would be the same either way??
