Very good Topic.

I have around 30 aswell….last time I looked. I purchase the models when I fly obviously and family and friends get hold of them for me (at a fee!) when they fly. I’ve been collecting for around 2 years.

I have a vast range of 747s, 737s, A320s, A330s, 757s, 767s, 777s etc…. With Airlines including Qantas, BA, Airtours, Britannia, Air 2000, BMI, Virgin and United…etc…

What types of a/c and liveries do u have 330?

RE: Concorde in trouble again!

What I don’t get is 1.30 into the flight and he turned back? 1.30ish more west would have brought them to New York….or they could have stopped in Bermuda or some other alternate. The problem musn’t have been that serious and they preffered to save money and get the aircraft back to homebase engineers instead of flying them out abroad. With the disaster not long since and the (public’s) shaky view on the bird, I’d have thought they wouldnt have taken any risks.

Like me and EGNM commented with the previous ‘turn backs’ (EZY) a 3 hour flight on Concorde LHR-LHR! Not bad if they get a refund!

I know Concorde has been going a long time but as they sey…’Theres life in the old dog yet’!

RE: What about the destination

Having a form of defence onboard, I think, is a good idea. However I think firearms are a bad idea. Yes…Decompression….sucicide pilots…..guns getting into the wrong hands etc….

Perhaps the pilots could adopt a Police idea….Gas! (the little cans of (CF?) gas they carry on their belts and can spray in the face of someone to momentarily knock em out!

This isn’t as dangerous as a gun…but again….if it gets in the wrong hands….sucide pilots etc…it could be bad.

Ahhh yes…is that the crash landing that was filmed from the beach by a holiday maker….on landing, the wing flipped and there were a few survivors? Were the hi-jackers trying to get it to Australia but they ran out of fuel or somthing like that???

I think with low cost airlines who want to stay efficient and keep their costs LOW (some of the time), an all one-type fleet is essential. Despite the fact that I prefer the A320 family to the B737!
