I saw somthing recently that said America plans to build several MUCH smaller buildings on the sight as well as a huge memorial garden for the victims lost in the disaster. Victims families were campaigning to have the whole sight as a memorial area (a huge park) but, It was said that because it was not realistic a comprimise would be made between trading buildings and gardens. It would be a strong message to the world if another supreme building was erected but, I think they’re going about it the right way.

RE: Free ATC Game!

This game sounds interesting. I’ve saved the page and will probably have a look at the weekend…bit busy with good old ‘exams!’

I recently recieved a CD ROM from Eurocontrol at Amsterdam. It was basically a recruitment CD but, it had an ATC sim on it. You had to prevent conflictions between aircraft on a mock-up radar screen. Quite interesting but became slightly predictable.

T5…is this game airfield control (in the cab) or radar…or…a bit of both??

RE: Funniest event on board

Great!

I don’t have anything half as funny as these. Just the usual bit of turbulence and then suddenly the captain comes storming down the cabin towards the rear. Upon being asked ‘sir, who is flying the plane?’ another older and rather nervous passenger literally filled her pants.

Whilst working at Newcastle a B757 was grounded and delayed because of two coke cans stuck behind the ice draw. Well it was preventing the door from opening!

And finally…just a couple of dodgy announcements over the PA that were not very understandable but rather funny!
