    I thought it was an A330, but yes….winglets? did earlier versions come without winglets like the A320-100s?

    Yeh we have Iberworld A320s at LBA virtually all year round.

    Great pic…lovely aircraft and I love the Iberworld colour scheme (especially on the A330)

    September 2000 there were two Corsair 747 300s on the ground to take leeds fans to France.

    Dont know the date but it was quite some time ago (just after the rnwy extension i think) there was a BA jumbo (and another….dont remember the airline) down at NM…unsure on that though. Clear it for us Steven.

    Yes I remember…When I was there two octobers ago the terminal was still under massive constuction. Apparentley this was connected to the fire. (slightly)

    Few years back my Grandparents were flying out of SYD bound for LAX with UAL on a 744. They experienced very severe CAT and hit a typhoon over the pacific. People were injured, although the aircraft managed to land safely in Los Angeles.

    Yes GZYL it would be fantastic to see 747s at Leeds (maybe the odd charter or cargo flight here and there) though I think some improvements would have to be made to the existing field for the acceptance of regular jumbos. Who cares about local residents!…keep it inside airport opening times and we’re laughing!

    Yes, I believe BMI wanted their USA flights to have slots at LHR but there was no room so they settled for MAN. I don’t think there is a huge demand (on top of the current flights from MCT) to the USA from Manchester.
