Maybe so… but what about the approach. Would it be possible to manouver such an aircraft as the A318 on to the LCY Approach and with that high approach angle? What about parking and handling at the terminal if LCY got several A318s all at once? I’m unsure myself, I’m not familiar with the spec on the new Airbus.

It is very interesting to see how old everyone is. In some cases… it certainly is not what was expected. I suppose over time we all just naturally make assumptions at what the other person looks like, how old they are etc… I certainly did.

Hi all,
I’m not flying anywhere this summer but in December I will be flying to New York with BA. This trip will see me lose my B747 virginity and my first trip outside of Europe. Great stuff!

Times change though. In the end they’ll go for the best aircraft for the job and that operates in and around their existing fleet most efficiently. Thanks for news A330C

My first flight was on a B737 to sumwhere on mainland Spain… Almeria i think. departure was probably MAN bt I can’t be sure and the airline… unsure also. Thats info from my dad… i dont remember any of it. I was a wee one then. Mid to late 1980s.
The first one i remeber was an A320 probably Airtours from MAN to Kos in Greece. eary 1990s i think… again very sketchy… i thought it was a B757 of AMM however Dad informs me otherwise.

I didn’t know the Queens building spotters sight had been shut! Mind you its probably cos i hardly ever go to LHR. Is it due to Terrorism threats???
I remember my first trip to LHR a few years ago and my spending half the day on that roof. Got quite a good film made from it on my then new camcorda. Its quite good for landing shots on 27L. Crap for 27R/09L.

I’ve been all over the place. I’ve actually been meaning to e-mail you Softlad.
The mysterious aircraft over Bradford today COULD have been one of the following…
1. LTE990 LTE INTERNATIONAL AIRWAYS from Mahon. Shedueled arrival at LBA today was 1300 hours. Boeing 757-200.
2. IWD3449 IBERWORLD AIRLINES from Arrecife. Shedueled arrival into LBA today was 13.35 hours. Airbus A320
3. 5W572 ASTRAEUS from Malta. Shedueled arrival into LBA today was 14.10 hours. Boeing 737-300.
I am nsure on the colour schemes of numbers 1 and 2 and don’t have time to check so i’d stick me money on the Iberworld!!
Then again it could have been none of em!
LBA RULES… what sort of time did you see the a/c over Bradford and could you tell the type of a/c?
Oh and bye the way… LBA does Rule!
