All the old 747s are underated. There is still life in the well looked after ones…European proved that with the purchase of the dumped BA versions.

Last months AW had a pic in of Northwest A320 which had failed to have it’s chocks installed fast enough! the wing took a battering as the a/c rolled off on it’s merry way!

Go-arounds are the best! I hadn’t seen any done by a commercial airliner in my whole life until last year when I saw 4 all in one night!…and right over my head! Airtours, Air 2000, Britannia and a JMC @ Kos, Greece. “Jetset343 Charlie is going around!!”

My best takeoff though….hhhmmm well as usual with me there would be several. I remember one being an Antonov An-124 @ Newcastle. It just floated into the air and roared over my head just before the end of of the TORA. Pretty good! certainly not the best though. I’ll have to dig about in my memory bank and come up with ‘the best’!

RE: Airbus A319

The BA A319s are really very nice a/c. The leather (or immitation leather more likely) seats are very comfortable and the layout provides plenty of leg room.

From the outside the A319 is a very nice looking a/c and certainly one of my favourites.

Blue…Pink Flower!!!!! Whats wrong with the current (it is first choice colours-unless they have changed aswell)

The ex Virgin sun A320/1’s were on lease to Virgin from ILFC so it would be concievable for AMM to take those a/c instead…however Virgin may still be under contract with them.???? just a thought.
