    I am also going to Majorca in a few months and also plan to spend a day @ Palma airport. I hear there are some fantastic points at the ends of 24L and 24R. I read an article in a magazine recently about viewing @ Palma and how to get there, local attitudes to spotting, local bars for refrshong those tired spotters etc.. I’ll see if I can dig it out and get in touch with you Mike B.

    I to am a fan of the A330…the colour scheme is very good too. Has anyone noticed how the tyres on the main gear look flat? I know they must not be, but its a strange optical illusion.

    Benair316P…is obviously a call sign. Ben being my name, (Benair being my airline!!) is put with the number 316P as it was a Monarch call sign used on an A330 positioning (P) between Manchester & Newcastle last summer while I worked there.

    It was a ‘spare of the moment thing’.

    I think that makes sense!

    Sorry Saab, it is indeed an Excel Airways.

    T5…you were right the first time…it is a 762. The aircraft, along with another, was loaned from Air Atlanta Icelandic last summer to cope with demand for high density routes. This picture is taken on the approach to London Gatwick I believe.

    Nice pic Ja. I guess all the small airlines (and ansett subs) will (pardon the expression) feed of the derparture of Ansett now. Have their figures gone up Ja? What are your initial operational plans?
