RE: VC10 OR 707
I like the VC 10 also.
The 707 as well as not being very economically friendly in terms of noise, looks dull compared to the VC 10. There must be somthing with this a/c…the RAF chose it, and what a great job it has done to.

RE: First bmibaby aircraft painted
The colour scheme is’nt too bad actually. It has grown on me, just as the my travel one is beginning to.
RE: My ‘pic of the day’
Nice. I like the way the PAPIs are in the water…buggered if there is a storm though!

RE: Airline television advertisments
I am a GMTV viewer also…and theres nothing wrong with that! Eamon and Fiona make a great team!!! I saw the AA advert this morning….prices are not bad but still are pretty expensive.
I remebered another one last night as well. It was the poor attempt at humour by UPS. where the cpt speaks to his freight.
Cold feet is pretty damn good T5….though UAL didn’t sponsor the last series did they?

RE: Pic Of The Day – B747 at its best!
The Alitalia MD11 that went a bit over-board with it’s crosswind landing on Hong Kong 98? That thing catapulted around on it’s main gear like there was no tomorro!
Great pic by the way KabirT.
My grandma flew a CX 744 from MAN into Kai Tak a few years back. She said it was incredible watching people working in the offices and pegging washing out above you on the roof as you flew past!

RE: 1,000 post special-MUSIC(off topic)
All sorts of different rock. Bands including Greenday (we play their stuff in my band), Creed, Sum 41…and a bit of Travis & Coldplay etc..
My fav. band though is definately the great aussie band Crowded House.
I dont mind a bit of Powder finger aswell (another aussie band).
This is all extremely ironic…I was considoring writing a post asking about people’s music tastes!!

P.s Kabir….Guns and Roses will always be great.
RE: Aviation related films?
Saab, in Castaway I think the a/c Tom was on was an A300.
My favourite is the most recent one i’ve seen. ‘Pushing Tin’. Its about Air Trafic control and the stresses of being a New York Area controller. It has a lot of different a/c in it and some pretty hairy scenes!

RE: A Nice pic of a ugly plane!
Its a weird looking thing isn’t it? Unique though.
It has a big head…perhaps its a super brainy aeroplane!

RE: Latest news for the British Airways fleet
Yes, and they have that recruitment centre…what is it called….Riverside or somthing, that is just sat there doing nothing. A recorded message greets callers with a message along the lines of “BA are currently not undertaking any external recruitments”.
Poor old Ed!
