    Well the rumour included improvements to the field for the activities it would undertake….PAPIs, Hangers (perhaps) etc…

    The main apron is big enough for Jumbos…the ones currently stored around the UK are mainly outdoors anyway. (Manchester and BA’s 747 classics for example.)

    They would need 24hour fire and rescue as well.

    Apparently the CAA have already been up for a look.

    well….only time will tell.

    It would be pretty stupid to stop 737 production. If the demand is there, what is the point? Was it 100 Ryanair ordered to be delivered over the next 8 years?

    I must say, I much prefer the A320 over the B737. If not in flying and economy then in shear looks. There is somthing about the 73s…I cant pin point it.

    I think the 738s have been sent away perminantly. G-BYNC was based at EGNM during last summer, but this year they have upgraded to a 752.

    I would say a 752 seems realistic for your trip.

    I wish I’d have seen this post earlier.

    You can tell it’s Dusseldorf due to all the cranes re-building after the terminal fire.

    Great little place that I had the pleasure of flying into on the flight deck of a Fokker 70!
