Does anyone have news abouth the two old props? I have read that perhaps they have (had?) to be scrapped due to needed parking space for the coming Olympic games…..

    It’s actually G-DLFN now.
She will be flying very soon.

    😎

Very sad not having Walter Eichhorn´s well known Delfin anymore in Germany. On the other hand I hope that one day there will be an airshow with the new `Red Stat Rebels´ team Germany

It puzzles me where this L-29 is going/staying: As RA01611 it is also mentioned at the thread about St.Athan, where a new L-29 demoteam is forming.. Are there two Tiger coloured L-29 in Europe, part of an identical twin ?

    Who can shed a light?

    Aerovet

Actually Our group has bought the mentioned Aero L-29 in January (as written earlier in this threat). And perhaps the gentlemen in St.Athan have read about our acquisition here in the forum >>> some days after I wrote about the Tiger coloured machine my friend got a call from one of those gentlemen >>>> and so the trainer will have it´s future flying in british skies and not staying in a german museum :):)

Well, just a few days after the Aeronca´s arrival the yellow beauty is already assembled again – waiting for it´s first takeoff at Mendig airfield.
And – a bit out of the `historic aviation theme´ – a stunt team filmed scenes for a German TV series….well, the Bo105 helicopter is quite vintage, too :):)

well, Fouga D-IFCC is still at Manching due to the same minor problems 🙁

But in the meantime we have aquired Aeronca C-65 N127KM. The american classic arrived feb 25th by truck in our hangar at Mendig airfield. The Aeronca was built in 1938 and is one of only four C-65 in Germany.

Our webpage http://www.fliegendes-museum-mendig.de is online since a couple of days – well at the moment without too many facts :D:D

Hi guys, Messerschmitt 262 & 163 were replicas built by Manfred Pflumm (owner of Internationales Luftfahrtmuseum at Villingen-Schwenningen). While Me 262 has been scrapped long time ago, Messerschmitt 163 replica is now at Luftfahrt&Technik Museum Merseburg.

And the spanish built Heinkel 111 is at Flugausstellung Hermeskeil.

Any idea what the problem was? Generator off-line?

No, it was just a minor problem in the hydraulic system, could have been done in a short time….but then the weather conditions were no longer that good >>> we hope for a new chance within the next weeks 🙂
