That’s correct, and it does not seem to have operated any further flights on its return from Stuttgart.
It did a flight into Manchester this afternoon and I missed it 🙁
I quite like it 😀
I’m sure I’ve seen Aer Lingus “lumps” in Heathrow, many many moons ago.
I have seen a couple in LHR also seen a at least one in Manchester , early 80’s on diversion from Dublin
did a search of the name and it is a forum like this one.
I would of though if you was a member you would be able to find a mod very easy.
I suspect I was tresspassing
I bet your right , but cracking place for photos :diablo:
cracking pics , Glasgow gets some good stuff though , wish a couple would come down to Manchester.
A 757 with 189 seats, hmmmmm
your not really going to get much help with an an attitude like that.
Slow news day , I bet other airlines have done the same.
Ryanair looking at MS-21’s or C919 as possible 737 replacements?
why would he be looking a a new fleet ? when Ryanair already has probably the youngest fleet of the low cost airlines.
I thought he had a very good deal from Boeing and he tried to get the same deal from Airbus and they told him to do one.
I would of though the cost of training flight crew and cabin crew and ground equip for the new aircraft would not be cost effective.
I always find it strange that people with an obvious like of aviation and plane’s ,have a hatred for an airplane company.
I also cant really get excited by a aircraft that is really over 40 years old, it is just a variation of an old design.
Ah, the first VS aircraft that will fly long-haul on just two engines!
I’m sure its probably been said before, but isnt it ironic that VS used to say “4 engines 4 long-haul” on the side of some of their aircraft, and yet now they have ordered and are going to be flying just 2 engines on some.
And, I still prefer the old scheme to this latest one…the font that is used on the “virgin atlantic” wording at the front is just awful (far too big, not bold/”Virgin” enough), and the white c/s on the main fuselage makes it look just a lot cheaper than it used to.
That said though, could this be Virgin’s strategy in terms of ways of saving money and adapting to the market conditions by choosing to use smaller aircraft and not applying as much paint or trying to make as much of a statement as they used to; compared to BA’s current strategy which appears to take it out on their staff first and foremost, usually by attacking their pay-packets or working conditions.
Times change , many airlines fly longhaul with only 2 engines.
Engines are more advanced and so are well able to handle the longhaul sectors.
I hate the revised paint job , where is the Union Jack ?
The day that horrible airline Ryanair and its nasty passengers (OK, not all passengers, not even all of Ryanair’s, are nasty) disappears from the scene the airline world will be better off… Fares will be able to go up, airports will be less congested, travel will become less stressful, flying by air will become more civilised again – and disposing of much of the unnecessary and frivolous travel will go some way to helping the airline industry answering back on criticism from the climate-changer looney-brigade. Ryanair is like a plague on the industry. No appology from me – just a day that IMHO can’t come soon enough.
Andy
what an utter load of rubbish.
Blast!! Didn’t have time to Google it. Although not a comedian, and deviating from the thread, John Travolta, is not only a brilliant actor, (In my book) but he has his own 747 and is qualified to fly it, he also owns another A/C any idea what that is G.A. ?
Lincoln .7
:diablo:
Is it not a 707 and an ex QANTAS one at that

It always used to be said: “another full Southwest flight, another empty trailer park”. In Ryanair’s case it’s “another full Ryanair flight, another empty council estate / student dorm” :D. And of course, another case of “pay peanuts get monkies”. Really, Ryanair does have a knack of carrying some of the world’s lowlifes!
Andy
Not impressed by this , what is wrong with Council Estates???
I know many many people that live on them , including our own Gray Area.
In fact I found the whole of your message very distasteful 😡
