Why are ezy getting rid of perfectly good 737’s which are early 2000’s built.
all to do with money dear boy , money.
Have a single type fleet means any of your pilots can fly any aircraft you have.
have 2 different types and it extra training , equipment and what ever else is needed.
to me the non pilot.
It looked like a very normal landing in heavy rain :D.
Ah! The roof of the Queens Building at Heathrow. Always busy with the public soaking up the atmosphere (and burnt jet fuel fumes)[/QUOTE]
Ah the Queens Building , those were the days .
A moring spotting then go for a bit of food and a couple of pints and then a kip in the afternoon during Lufthansa happy hours 😎
Surely someone must know if a flight departed to Calgary on saturday from Manchester ?
There is places you could look for the answer yourself Tommy. 😉
Brilliant, so no need for radio, binoculors, notepad, patience, interest in recognition, or enthusiasm anymore!
strange comment
It is just another tool to use like email or SBS.
You still need to see the aircraft and for that you need bins and has for patience you need it in bucket.
If anybody has lost the enthusiasm for spotting , then maybe they need another hobby 😉
You could always buy a new motherboard.
To be honest, that’s what I’d do in your situation.
this is what i would do too and also install an extra fan inside the case

Under Hill 60
Excellent Australian film about the tunnels that were dug under the German frontlines in WW1
No special effects no big stars but it showed how brutal the First War , anybody interested in WW1 should watch this.
I thought it was excellent and worth 9/10

Just noticed this bit in the story on Sky and to me does not sound like they have solved the problem and the engine changes are just a stop gap .
Rolls-Royce said last week that the problem with the Trent 900 engine is confined to a specific component in the turbine area.
Aviation experts say the fault develops over time, so the new engines should not present any safety issues and will give Rolls-Royce time to come up with a permanent solution.
I imagine RR will pay, but do they carry insurance against such calamities?
Insurance will pay yes your right , but what about the other things.
The effect of RR them selves.
The money cost will be covered by insurance yes , but airlines might not buy RR engines after this.
What about the a380’s that are in service that need there engines replacing ,there downtime will cost money , will RR pay for that too.
Mods it might be a good idea to merge the 2 A380 thread , they both seem to be going the same way.
It is clear from these fascinating pictures that the aircraft could have crashed.
Just a question – and forgive my lack of specialist technical knowledge if the question reveals it – but I read on the BBC website this morning that RR may need to replace up to 40 Trent 900 engines. How easy would it be for those airlines to replace them directly with GE engines if confidence was not quickly restored in the RR product?
Thats a good question.
I just posted in another thread this.
RR are now saying that they are going to replace 40 engines.
What sort of time scale are they going to change them over?
It took 1 IL96F to bring the damages QANTAS engine back to East Midlands.
They cant have that many in stock and it must impact on the A380 delivery schedules.
This is a massive cost , but to who , I guess it must be RR.
Can they afford to replace 40 engines and the associated cost of transport and fitting.
There could me many extra cargo flights into East Midlands over the comming how ever long it takes.
