    I understand from NAM’s Cockpit-Fest Co-ordinator that he should be sending out invitations to participate at this year’s event (on 18th & 19th June, 2011) sometime over the next couple of days. 🙂

    Collecting More Aeroplanes

    A second Album of photographs has been added to the Museum Photo Gallery – this includes early images from the 1960 / 70s of the first Anson, Swift and Meteor FR9 … through to the Canberra PR7 and Wessex in the late 1990s.

    Good to meet you last weekend ‘Blue’ sorry I could only spare a couple of hours, but at least you got a look inside XM594!

    Nice set of pictures and just a comment about the Houchin – it looks a lot better than it runs!! 😉

    The fund idea has been noted and if required it would most likely be done via this site where safe online donations can already be made to NAM. 🙂

    However, so far there’s been very little indication of airframe availability as mentioned in Posts #21, #24 and #52 on here.

    Approaches have been made over recent years but nothing has been forthcoming – apart from a few recent whispers of airframe storage! 😉

    At this point I would reiterate the first line of the above post!! 😉

    Website Updates – Collecting Aeroplanes

    The usual Friday update of the museum website has been posted for Object of The Week; plus a new album has been added to the Gallery – entitled “Collecting Aeroplanes” it shows 12 aircraft moved by NAM during the period from 1974 through to 2006.

    I try not to – that said I’ve emailed out several more booking forms this morning, so the topic was on my mind. Not many tables left now – “For the opportunity of aviation selling face to face!!” 😉
