Germany, Greece and Turkey still operate them in Europe, but like I said I’m pretty sure they’re none deployed to the UK at the moment.

That’s interesting, with the 4 321s on order plus these that means we are 8 aircraft up on the present fleet. Wonder what they have in mind for them.
I imagine they intend to fly them to various destinations in order to make money with them………
Sorry, I couldn’t resist!

You most likely saw a Jaguar if you were near Coningsby, very similar plan-form at a quick glance/altitude. The RAF hasn’t operated F-4s since October 1992 and I’m pretty sure they’re no deployed F-4s from overseas in the UK at the moment.

Thanks for that, site now added to favourites list!

EMA have one as well, looks very impressive when they practice at night!

IIRC, it was something to do with the crew misunderstanding ‘alpha floor’, the aircraft was set up for landing and the crew thought that if they pulled back on the side stick after the fly-by the aircraft would climb, apparently they should have pushed the TOGA buttons to initiate the climb out, its all a bit hazy now but I’m sure someone will find an accurate report.

I’m amazed this thread hasn’t had more responses, that has to be without a doubt the most incredible scale model I’ve ever seen! I can’t begin to imagine how long it must’ve taken, the attention to detail is staggering!

I only used to photograph aircraft until March 2006 at which point I finally succumbed and started taking regs, both civil and military, this has now led to logging frames as well where necessary.
And I still take pictures!

Whiskey Delta, if Airbus actually put the A380F programme on the back burner and continue development at a trickle they could possibly use the delivery slots which would have been allocated to its customers to bring forward deliveries of the passenger version once production increases, not only that all the production advances and lessons learnt can then be passed on to the A380F when the programme resumes, by which time i’m sure Airbus will have ensured that there is still interest in the A380F. Its just possible Airbus actually know what they’re doing you know!;)

Already tried that one without any joy, but thanks anyway.

Andy, nothing wrong with being a ‘Boozer’ or a ‘Shagger’, I am currently best described as being the former!;)
