Cathay Pacific Cargo sounds promising, I’ve seen their 747s a couple of times at EMA and I’m pretty sure it wasn’t Kalitta, I think they were/are mainly on Sunday afternoons.

Sorry, don’t have a picture, I was in my batmobile at the time and just caught a fleeting glimpse as I was perambulating merrily along! 🙂

In the text it is said that the pilot with his speed brakes deployed also pulled the throttle back to idle, if thats the case then the convergent/divergent nozzle would be wide open, not closed like it appears to be in the photo…….just a thought.

I was about 14 or 15 when I first flew in the back seat of an AEF Chipmunk from RAF Newton, felt like a proper RAF pilot(well almost), helmet, parachute, emergency egress briefing, although the method of leaving the aircraft in flight in the event of an emergency was frankly terrifying and I my opinion almost suicidal!
Great fun though, could’nt stop jabbering on about it for ages!:)

Sounds very similar to a problem I experienced recently, namely a browser hi-jack, download and run CWShredder from http://www.spywareinfo.com, also highly reccomended for download is Ad-Aware and Spybot Search & Destroy, at least one of these utilities should help.

The FG.1 in the foreground is indeed a former 111 Sqn machine, and the four visible tailfins in the background are, from left to right, 74 Sqn, 19 Sqn, 92 Sqn and 228 OCU.

I need a drink after seeing that second picture, horrible way for an airframe (especially a Phantom!) to end its days.
