RE: Boeing 727 Flies Into History !

Perhaps it was the RR Olympus, after all the Avro Vulcan B.2 was fitted with Olympus 301s, although thinking about it they’re probably two wide and long to fit a 727s engine bays, maybe it was RR Conways, like on the VC-10?

    RE: Please explain!!!…..Is it me?

I’ll refrain from posting my opinion on this subject because I won’t be able to get my feelings across adequately without an enormous amount of swearing and ranting, probably shows a lack of self control I suppose, but this subject makes my blood boil!

    Starting to sweat already, Dazza.

Boeing was considering building a 727-300 but the advent of the 757 put an end to the project.

RE: Did I Hear correctly?…..Sniper to Sue!

I think you’ll find its actually the families of some of the victims who are sueing the gun makers and the retailer, not the sniper.

    RE: Wysiwygs F-4 mate……..

Wysiwyg, your mate who jumped out of the nose-less Rhino on finals, was he flying 111 Sqn FG.1 XV589 because this particular Rhino’s radome opened on approach to RAF Alconbury, apparently the crew were injured, it was however more than a few years ago, 3/6/80 to be precise, I’ve seen one photo of the incident taken by a photographer who was pretty close to the flight path, in fact it was taken from a ditch he’d dived into after he realised things were going pear-shaped!, hope you can shed some light, finally humble apologies to the good people of the AW Forum for me waffling on about a military aircraft, but I tend to get a bit excited at all things Phantom shaped!:-)
