RE: Waddington Airshow
Yeah, saw that too, very optimistic, anyone know what the deal with the Marineflieger Tornado was, I commented to my amigo that on landing he came in way too fast and touched down a long way down the runway, never heard the thrust reversers kick in, next minute there is an almighty delay in the flying program and some, from my position at least, indecipherable comment from the tannoy about the plane stuck on the runway, anyone able to clarify?

RE: Waddington Airshow
PII, just got back from the airshow, brilliant stuff, got some good shots of the Rhinos, I’ll post them as soon as I can get my scanner to work properly.

Hello, welcome to the forum.

RE: THE MOST PHOTOGENIC PASSENGER PLANE?
Could not agree more, the MD-11/F is my personal favourite, closely followed by its older brother the DC-10, and just for good measure here’s a particularly striking DC-10.

RE: TNT’s first TU 204-120C
Nice looking jet, love the blended winglets, great c/s too, and as for the choice of engines, what more can I say, superb choice!

RE: Top Telly
Aviation programmes on telly are getting better, although how Easyjet continues to think Airline is a good advert for their services is beyond me.

RE: C-130 crash
I’ve just watched the clip again and there doesn’t seem to be any fire before the wings break off, it just looks like fuel burning from the ruptured tanks, it appears to have been a catastrophic structural failure, although why both wings should fail at the same time in exactly the same place is very strange indeed, however given that the aircraft have to be flown aggressively at low level to navigate the valleys and ridges with a heavy payload, perhaps this is a factor to the structural failure, conjecture on my part I realise, but It must surely be a concern for other C-130’s operated in the same manner.
But one thing that remains is three people have perished needlessly, especially when the fire was started by someone who should have known better.

RE: Top Telly
Saw this programme a couple of years a go on Channel 4, If I remember rightly the episode to which you refer is called ‘Deadly Weather’, one of the weather phenomenons they focus on is wind shear, also known as microburst, where exceptionally cold air seemingly falls from storm clouds like rain robbing an aircraft of lift, very interesting T.V.

RE: Air France-The dirty mom!
Look at it another way guys, at least the dirt adds some interest to an otherwise boring colour scheme!}>

RE: A330 PIC
Nice pic of a great jet, c/s is easy on the eye too!

RE: Music/Musician That You Can’t Stand?!?!
Can’t stand stuff like Westlife/Atomic Kitten and all others of their ilk, meaningless lyrics and no musical talent or integrity whatsoever!
