    RE: Blue Angels

Mirage 2000’s and F.1’s are pretty damn loud too, and speaking of Spey engined F-4’s I was at the RAF Coningsby and Finingley airshows in 1992, the year in which the MOD committed sacrilege when they retired the F-4, and XT914 and XV393 were nice and vocal, by the way saw Spanish Hornets take-off at RAF Waddington during Exercise Nomad (forgot what year) and they were plenty loud.

I live in the U.K., England to be precise, and I am proud to do so for all the reasons Saab 2000 suggested, If you think posting messages like this is clever, its not, its infantile, which is probably a good guess at your mental age, oh and yes I have alerted the Webmaster so I don’t suppose you’ll be here much longer fool.

I thought 747 also, the engine cowls look to large and wide for a 707 or DC-8.
Anyone out there got a definitive answer?

BAE Systems also flies the former Tracor Flight Systems F-4’s as test and chase aircraft out of Mojave.

One of the loudest jets I’ve heard is a Tornado F.3 performing a minimum radius turn immediately after take-off.

Don’t forget though that the DC-10’s nose has a tendancy to pitch up near touch down because of the centre of gravity of the jet being so far rearwards, I’ve heard of tail strikes due to this design ‘feature’.

Geforce the U.S. does still operate manned F-4’s, both the Navy and the Air Force, they are still drones but they can be used for manned flights as well as the more usual NOLO/NULLO flights.

    RE: Airbus

“I am a Brummie from Birmingham”, I did’nt realise Brummie’s came from anywhere else.
And as far as saying Airbus are “crap”, I think the increasing amount of airlines that are turning to the Airbus range of jets instead of Boeing might just disagree a tad.
