Brilliant shots. The Germanwings is a bit harsh on the old eyes though:) Love the Shamrock just getting airbourne, really captured the speed there, nice one.;)

I don’t think so. I think that the main structure of the wings and the stresses are taken by the wingbox which the fuselage sits on and the aircraft wouldn’t have been heavy due to the fact it had just flown non-stop from London and was an hour away from landing at Hong Kong. Even turbulance wouldn’t have caused this. It simply looks like a blowout of a weakspot by something of which we don’t know yet. Maybe a small explosive or something like an aerosol or something getting hot for some reason and exploding, punching a hole in the side

Hi there to another Manny resident. You can get some great photo’s from the mounds on the south side of the runways, south of the fire training area. The pathway is of a road call Moss Lane which goes down the parimeter. Photography is best before Noon, after that either the Aviation park which is great when they are on RWY05 or there is the end of the runway round the corner from the Airport Hotel or the beer garden of the Airport Hotel itself which is situated right at he end of RWY23R. Oh and not forgeting the top level of the multi-story carpark.

Interesting shots 😉 You got a rare one there with the TAM, not like you can call it a weekly visitor in that scheme.
