    Pilot currency

I too have heard that the RNHF looks for service pilots only to display it’s aircraft. However, one wonders if in the short term it would be better to choose a more experienced pilot with alot of time on if not type/ at least on large piston single seaters. As you all know oyu can’t just jump in any plane and display it, it takes quite a lot of time on type gto get up to speed. Seeing as VR930 has not flown for some years, I doubt that such a pilot cna be found within the FAA organisation. Perhaps an experienced BoBHF pilot could be loaned?

    Any thoughts???

[QUOTE=srpatterson]The original owner, George Baker, painted the RAN scheme and she’s been like this ever sense. With so many Sea Furies getting painted as racers I rather like this look, although there is talk of painting her in FAA colors. Maybe next year.

Way to go thanks for sharing your experiences with us all. On colours schemes, I’d love to see you go for a Royal Navy scheme, there are not alot, if any accurate RN schemes on US Furies.

    did she fly?

Did anybody get any snaps of her flying at the show?

Maybe next Legends we’ll see 3 airworthy Furies?

    Seafires

Thanks for the feedback. Certainly looks like things are on the move in the right direction. Can’t wait to see it all come together.

I must say the mk46 that Mark 12 mentioned sounds very intriging, lets hope we see it airworthy at some time in the future

    Running Javelins

I’m not sure how many Javelin’s actually have thier engines in still.

I’m pretty sure that the Americans manufactured a version of the Sapphire engine however. so that may offer some hope.
