These have been up for sale for the last 5 years , always been in flyer /loop magazine adverts.

I did hear it was cheaper to rebuild one from scratch than to take those over. The owner wanted far to much for them even 5 years ago.

Sorry to see them the state they are but I always thought it was greed myself.

Just spent the whole weekend at Sheburn PFA Rally.

What a great show, all back to basics, a few aircraft flown in for trade and lots of interesting visitors, no big tents, no large expence just a goof get tpgether.

Well done PFA and helpers from Sherburn for a great weekend.

A Final THANK YOU for all your information throughout the last year.

Myself and my friends had such a great time. We saw most of the Aircraft and a couple of shows including the Museum and the Seaplane base (which was really great).

Our packed full 6 days at Oshkosh was well plenty for us to which we are now all walked out and about to fly back to UK.

Cheers to all on the forum and any volenteers for a great week.

The Sea Plane base will be a must for us.

A tip I have heard is to find out when the Seaplane Aircraft flypast is at Oshkosh and get to the lake to see them depart beforehand. A tip I shall try to do.

Thanks all 2 days before we fly….

    Heliventure to Oshkosh

HeliVenture 2007: Helicopter Group Flying to Oshkosh From Paris
Several helicopter enthusiasts from the Union Française de l’Hélicoptère (the French helicopter association) will commemorate the 100th anniversary of the first flying helicopter with a group flight from Paris to Oshkosh for EAA AirVenture 2007. “HeliVenture 2007” will depart Paris on July 14 and fly more than 4,600 nautical miles to Oshkosh with a planned arrival on opening day, July 23.
“It’s a dream to be in Oshkosh at the world’s biggest aviation event,” said Renaud Lataillade of the UFH. “Everything is going well, everybody is preparing the last details, and we’re counting the days.”

Their planned flight path will include stops in the United Kingdom, the Faroe Islands, Iceland, Greenland, Canada, and the U.S.-about 50 hours of flight time each way. Among the confirmed aircraft are two Squirrel AS-350s, a Squirrel AS-355, a Robinson R44, and an Augusta 109. Two fixed-wing aircraft, a Beech King Air and a Socata TBM 850, will also accompany the flight.

This journey pays homage to French inventor Paul Cornu, who in November 1907 flew the first rotary wing aircraft at Lisieux, Calvados, France. The machine, which had two counter-rotating rotors driven by a 24-hp Antoinette engine, lifted him about five feet in the air for one minute.

Before flying to Oshkosh on opening day, Lataillade said the group would arrive in Fond du Lac on July 21

Have been packing my bags this week.

Been looking at Paul C Pics
    http://www.jetphotos.net/viewphoto.php?id=5873036&nseq=204o

What time of day was this picture taken, does not look to busy out on the airfield.

Is it possible to cross runway to parking on the other side of runway as in the picture.

    Also The Seaplane base..
What is the busiest day to visit the seaplan base, does much come and go or
do they arrive and stay all week.
