    They used to do a lot of stuff over Boscombe Down, and various other places..Gayden? as well as Goose.. as it says in the logbook.

    I remember that he was not even allowed to tell my mum about some of the things they were doing as it was all top secret.

    My brother recalls that one day when my mum was out hanging out the washing dad was circling the house in the Victor and they were all waving at him, but i was only a babe then lol. We lived in Hemel Hempstead then, Leverstock Green…

    It would be so great if could compile pics of some of the planes dad flew, ther are so many it would take years tho Am working through 6 flying logbooks… i may be sometime lol

    Hi Peppermint,

    Thanks for your help, wow this is interesting stuff, i do remember dad saying to my husband a few years ago in conversation about how they had to jack a plane up to get the bomb under, and how hilarious he found it, that they had to do so now this all ties in lol.

    Sorry guys as i started this all off again, but i dare not post the pics on if i may get in the brown stuff for it, also dad would want it all above board, military stylee bless him.

    HI Pure Lightining

    Great pic, what are the reg on these, i can make out WH844, which dad flew in display team… the others in the dispaly photo that i have are WH843, WT485, XH584, WT485, of which he had flown all of them, i amde a mistake in my prev post on the regs of these. I have 2 pics of display team and 2 solo canberrra flying pics as well, plus 2 crew with canberra pics, all origional.

    Can anyone get copies of them from this site of them though as dont want that really as only want to share with certain sites, if you know what i mean as they are precious,

    Ha now you are asking lol, i presume Handley Page, but will try and find out and look in books lol, i know the ones they flew at the airshows were WH844, WH584, WH485, WH843 as i am looking at the phto now…. does that help???

    What if the photo contains an air ministry stamp on the reverse stating that ti cannot be reproduced unless air minsitry permission has been obtained then?

    As the ones i have have this stamped on the reverse of them. These were taken in the 1950’s – 60’s
