I am also disappointed for a number of reasons. I work only a stones throw away and have done for 30 years now. I used to be a hangar rat around the time Dick Melton was rebuilding the Mosquito. I was there the day G-PSID was test flown. I met and had a brief conversation with Gary Numan about flying. Lots of other memories triggered by reading the thread.

Why not help Just Jane?
Two lancs seem to have pulled in the crowds this summer. Maybe because the prospect of the opportunity may never present itself again.
I would suggest a Mosquito, but I suspect it would only be a crowd draw for a season or so.
Seems to be the bigger and noisier the better for casual crowd appeal.
Maybe a cold war duo, Phantom and Mig21 would do it.

I would also like to offer my thanks and appreciation for the efforts of everyone involved with making the visit and tour as successful as it has been.
I was fortunate to see the pair during a visit to Old Warden on bank holiday Sunday.
