Do you still believe Korean-Indonesian relation is so important?
I think so. Korea is a serious and growing economic, industrial and military player in the region and Indonesia will become a serious player in the region over the next few decades. The potential nature and evolution of their military-industrial relationship strikes me as similar to that between Russia and India, but on a smaller scale.
Ok, thanks, I didn’t know that. I still don’t see why you have such a problem with the idea that this *may* actually have happened, or that certain parties would be interested in Korean-Indonesian relations in the first place.
I’m no expert on these matters, but I don’t see why it’s so difficult to believe that the Rafale’s AESA might be competitive with or even superior to the APG-77 across certain parameters. The designs are near 15 years apart, and in a field where that most certainly counts for something. I don’t think anyone would question that the Americans are ahead of the pack in this and various other design fields (engines, LO tech) but what’s on paper and what’s in service are different things entirely.
Whether or not the events described actually happened, I don’t know; but dismissing even the possibility says more about your naivety than mine.
FGFA is certainly going to supplement the Su-30MKI, which likely won’t be withdrawn in any numbers until 2030 at the earliest. FGFA will on the other hand enter service in significant numbers post 2020.
I agree. So here’s my take having given it a little more thought:
Su-30MKI -> FGFA (supplement)
MiG-21bis -> LCA Mk.1
MiG-21 Bison -> MMRCA (initial order)
Jaguar -> LCA Mk.2/+
MiG-27 -> MMRCA (growth)
Mirage 2000 -> AMCA
MiG-29 -> AMCA
Do you believe other country’s three agents could enter the Indonesian special envoy’s suite in a Korean hotel?
I don’t believe it’s impossible.
And could run away after be caught by special envoys?
Where does it say they were caught in the act? It’s more likely that the number and sex of the intruders was deduced from security footage or somesuch after the fact.
Do you believe T-50 and Indonesia are so important that attracted foreign agents to had the risk?
T-50 itself? Probably not. But I can imagine certain parties being interested in the nature and extent of the evolving relationship between South Korea and Indonesia.
Could someone clairfy exactly how the IAF inventory is going to evolve with the induction of LCA/2, MMRCA, AMCA, FGFA over the next decade?
i.e.
Su-30MKI -> FGFA
Mirage 2000 ->
Mig-29 ->
Mig-27 ->
Jaguar ->
Mig-21 ->
Cheers.
According to this Honeywell Ad the Jaguar will be really potent with its new engines.
I could listen to that voice all day.

Indonesian military secrets stolen in Seoul
02-18-2011 21:55
Three thieves broke into a VIP hotel room of a high-level Indonesian delegation in Seoul earlier this week, allegedly to steal classified information on defense cooperation programs between Seoul and Jakarta, a local broadcaster reported Friday.
The files contained top defense secrets, including Indonesia’s potential purchase of South Korea’s T-50, it said.
Very interesting. I suppose there’s no shortage of nations who’d be interested in such information. China, Japan, Australia…
If USAF is forced to acquire the Boeing tanker for political reasons, maybe they could make a show of protest by naming it the KC-767 Politicotanker or something. :rolleyes:
Brahmos II will have range limitations to meet MTCR obligatons.
I mean as a successor to the Oniks/Klub missiles in the anti-shipping role, for which extreme range isn’t required (need targeting data!) and hypersonic speed is most definitely a plus.
Don’t know if this was postes earlier:

BrahMos II or something entirely different?
GE will not miss the chance to have an own state of the art engine in that power-class. I can not see they will write-off the achievements with the F136 achievements till to day. 😎
The next-generation bomber is another possible application for the engine.
In terms of being a significant player on the world stage the UK is finished, as are all the European states. Their only hope for shaping the future lies in collective action and influence via the EU.
But what of it? I’ll take citizenship of a small, prosperous nation such as Sweden over that of a ‘great’ nation like the United States any day of the week and twice on Sundays.
