At long last………my Gemini Jets 1:400 scale Delta 777-200ER N863DA

Now to consider my next purchase, perhaps a current colours United 777,or an American Airlines 777…….hmmmm
Cheers!
I’d imagine 20 years of pounding up and down heavily laden with as many tourists that could be jam-packed into would eat into the airframe life quite heavily, and the constant increases and decreases in pressure and temperature as the plane is constantly climbing and descending on short hops all the time would just worsen the effect,so it may be at the end of it’s metal fatigue life.
Or maybe I’m wrong…….I feel faint after posting that, better go lie down 😀
Look’s like a cloud of nut’s and bolt’s all trying to fly in formation I suppose,it’s got bad news written all over it 😮
Cheers
Errrrrrr…….sorry Renfrew, forgot about that posting, just looked back and saw it,must be all the head impacts,or that problem with my attention spa…………………. 😀
Evening Gent’s
Speaking of models,I’ve just suddenly remembered the Gemini 1:400 Delta 777 I ordered from Collector’s Aircraft Models hasn’t materialised yet,and I ordered it on August 11th 😡 ,are they known to be this unreliable? I mean I know of other vendors who have it in stock now,so it can’t be that hard to get can it?
Does anyone else have any experience of them? If so how’d they fair in your opinion?
Cheers,
Hello guys, could I just ask, where do you guys order your models from?
I’ve tried ordering a Delta 777 in the new livery from Collector’s Aircraft Models via the internet, but it’s been about 6 weeks and yet no sign. I rang them after 2 weeks and enquired about changing the order for an American Airlines 777 if they couldn’t tell me when they could deliver my original order, but they couldn’t tell me if they could get that either, this saga’s making me consider cancelling my order as it looks like they’ve forgotten all about it 🙁
Bad news 🙁
Delta’s my favourite carrier, been with them on their Manchester – Atlanta – Miami route many times on the way to my aunt’s in Florida,my earliest and best memories of flying are on their L1011’s,MD-11’s,757’s and 767’s between those destinations.
Let’s hope they survive though, and my sympathies to those who are going to find themselves out of a job, tragic 🙁

At least the passenger’s will be quiet for once!
Hello Guys,
Ordered me my first model,a nice shiny new Gemini Jets 1:400 Delta 777-200ER in the latest livery today, hopefully I should have it in the next few days.
Cheers.
Hello,
I’m looking to make my first and perhaps only model purchase,I want one to sit on top of my stereo and I’m interested in either a Delta or United 777,or a BMI or US Air A330,has anyone got any decent pics of either of the models they wouldn’t mind posting so I can have a gander?
Cheers!
Hello, first post and all so here goes……
The way I tried to get into a pilot’s role was via the RAF (Yes it was Topgun that did it…..I Know but I was about 6 and impressionable when it came out!),so I joined the local ATC squadron to gain a little experience on the recommendation of a recruiting Seargent. I signed up all full of hopes and dreams at the tender age of 14 but rather bizzarely, and considering it was the AIR Training Corps I found myself undertaking a lot of infantry focused training, shooting, movement in the field camoflage and concealment etc,but we did do a lot of classroom stuff too toward the aviation side of things. It was only really the basics such as the principles of flight etc,(you probably know more than the instructors there now,but to have it written up as a formal exam pass looks better)
A stint in the ATC also proves to them you have good self discipline, have practical experience of teamwork and leadership,as well as excellent communication skills,so it’s well worth the time and effort, plus you may get a few hours in gliders and grob’s too.
Well as for me,it didn’t work out because one fateful summer afternoon my kneecap and a mountainbike became one with the pavement,so my knee that’s now held together with chewing gum and sticky tape thanks to the NHS means the RAF will NEVER consider me…..,but follow your dream, work hard and try to get involved somehow with ATC or a UAS and that’ll help you along the path to glory…..
Good Luck, and I hope this helps
Cheers
