So many puns, so little time. Still, perhaps they should offer you a discount if you state at check in that you’ve also had an affair with Tiger. 😀
To be honest, once a country’s nuclear arsenal reaches the point whereby it can wipeout all life on Earth, I really don’t see the point in counting on any further.
“Ladies and gentlemen, this is the Captain speaking. Unfortunately we’re going to have to return to the terminal due to some unforeseen technical trouble with engine 1. However, on the upside, we did pick up that container of late transfer luggage……”
The Secret Service do pack Stingers, however, I doubt the few pounds of a Stinger’s warhead and body impacting a few hundred thousand pounds of 767-300ER hurtling in would make much difference to be honest.
It’s not endemic to Britain ..i’m afraid it’s a Universal problem
You can sort of see why he’d think that, it’s all we get day in, day out in the media here in the UK these days.
Didn’t an empty IL-96 on a positioning flight crash at Domedovo a few years back? Or am I thinking of an IL-86?
How many accidental discharges of firearms within the cockpits of airliners would you regard as unacceptable, then?
2? 10? 20?
Give us a number, and tell us why. 😎
0. But to state that you’ll never fly within a country because of one isolated incident is taking things a bit far don’t you think?
And this is once out of how many thousands of hours of flight with an armed pilot?
Honestly, some people are far too quick to jump on the “I’m never flying again” hysteria band wagon.
Poor fella. Surely the approach into Heathrow isn’t that bad is it?
Does anyine know the operational history of Oz-Jet’s 732 fleet ?
Hi Ren Frew,
They’re actually on airfleets mate, and from looking at one of them, it was originally delivered to Sabena back in 1975! 😮
Cheers, and sorry if this comes across as a bit patronising 😮
Biggest issue for me is not pitch, but leg room. I’m only 5’10″/5’11”, yet my knees usually press into the back of the seat in front, and as I have chronic pain in my left knee from a mountain biking injury I suffered a few years ago, flying can be pretty uncomfortable for me. I mean I used to love flying, and as a kid I’d happily spend an entire crossing of the Atlantic glued to the window. But now, because of the pain and discomfort I can sometimes suffer, I’m being put off it. 🙁
Hi guys,
It’s been a while so I thought I’d chime in with a few from a flight I undertook last night. Cargolux 747-400F from a grim and grey Manchester (EGCC) to sunny Almeria (LEAM), in Andalusia, Spain.

Shots taken straight from FSX as they appear. Model is from the superb PMDG 747-400X package, whilst the scenery is just default. (Although I’ll upgrade it when I overhaul my PC again next year with new motherboard, processor, RAM and graphics card)
Cheers, Mike

Finnair are to begin offloading their MD-11’s next year mate, with two of them going to Aeroflot Cargo. They should be out of the fleet by 2010, by which time they’ll have received additional A340-300’s and A330’s to replace them.
Must get the old peepers tested Grey Area, I could swear it looked shorter than a -300ER…..
Thanks again. 😉
