For me it’s a toss up between the 1st and 3rd British Airways schemes, though I think the 1st one’s floating my boat just slightly more than the 3rd.

Sounds promising, if they could perfect unmanned aerial refuelling they’d have near limitless loiter capability in addition to the ability to strike nearly any given point in the planet without crew endurance becoming a factor, a very useful trick to have up your sleeve.

I’ve never been mugged or assaulted otherwise personally, but my mate’s girlfriend was when we were out for the night about 2 years ago. She separated from us to go to a cash machine literally 20 yards away as we queued to get into a club in Liverpool one night, and that was all it took. Some smackhead as high as a kite literally ran full pelt into her and tackled her into the ATM as she got her money from the machine. He then dragged her to the pavement and started trying to rip the money out of her hands (he couldn’t as she’d literally curled up into a ball to try and protect herself from the blows raining down on her) At this point me and my mate intervened and I ended up punching the bloke with everything I had from a run (all 16 1/2 stone of me) and it barely slowed him down,he just stumbled and kept running as I lost my balance and sprawled out on the pavement.

As a result of this low-life’s action my mate’s girlfriend suffered a dislocated shoulder, various cuts and grazes on her arms and legs in addition to a nasty gash where her forehead hit the pavement. The physical injuries aside, she suffered from flashbacks and nightmares for month’s afterwards, and to this day she’ll only go out at night with a big crowd, and will absolutely not go anywhere on her own.

It’s disgusting and somehow dispiriting that people can bring themselves prey on one another like that, but if I ever caught up with the guy,he’s a dead man 😡

My most intersting aircraft has to be either:

    1)American Trans-Air L1011 Tristar, Manchester – Gander – Orlando

    2)Rich International (as I recall,I was about 4) Douglas DC-8, Stanstead – Miami

    3)Trans-World L1011 Tristar, Manchester – Toronto

    My greatest fear?

To wake up one day and realise that my life has slipped by me unnocticed, that I’ve never truely lived, only ever just existed, and that the only thing that waits for me is the cold embrace of the grave, for the rest of eternity.

    Now that scares me 🙁

Well if you’re stupid enough to try something like that post 9/11 then I suppose Darwin holds a special place for you

I’d say Kudos to pluto77189,he articulated that very point better than I could have.

Edit: I also hunt myself, hunting rabbits with a high powered air-rifle on a farm where in the past they’ve caused considerable crop damage, if the meat’s good I’ll keep ’em,and if I’ve got too much I’ll give it my friend who keeps birds of prey.

Well, I’m debating taking a wage drop in order to get out of the hellhole I’m in now!

If I’ve been taught one thing in my life,it’s that life’s too short to be stressed out all the time, and that money isn’t everything!

I loathe my job at the minute, although I think it’s more appropriate to say words fail me as I try to express my disdain, outright hatred and distaste for my job. I currently work customer services/sales order processing for an office furniture company, and quite frankly how they’re still in business is quite the enigma.

To say disorganized is an understatement, bungling and incompetent are less than half way there and damn-right frustrating comes nowhere near the mark. I’ve only been there 4 months and I’ve had it up to the hilt with the place already, although I do have an interview lined up with a local bodyshop that’ll hopefully bail me out of there before the frustration and despair the place makes me feel manifests itself into physical violence.
